These seemed like really good tips, thanks a lot. I'm normally a pretty strong runner but due to an ingrown toenail I've had to literally put any running, or anything over a hobble, on hold for almost a year now. I understand this was my fault as trying to 'man it out', which failed horribly of course. But thanks again, these tips will definitely help me get back into the running scene. My time for a 10k run was in the 29 minutes bracket btw, so it sucks to have to build the whole thing up again
i actually did a 10 mile race with no training and got 30th out of 200 i collapsed at the finish line and couldnt wak for a week but i think just running is good practise makes perfect
Thanks. Very informative. i am returning back to running after 2 years from having a bad athletes foot problem. Had my big toenail removed..Ouch...Well, that finally grew back and now im beginning to build up my base mileage again..Ugh..up to running about 2 miles comfortably.....Just looking out to train for a 13.1 sometime early next year....Thanks for posting...

Plans work different for different people. When all's said & done if you've got the miles in you'll be great as opposed to struggling.

@donalduck815 Don't worry about the toenails too much. My nails have been bad for years lol. They're never normal.
