  • hahahahaha

  • looks like something off a Dr.Seuss book

  • @piergiorgiogonni Green Eggs and Ham + The Grinch / Lack of sleep

  • where'd you get the flash grip?

  • @BnVFXProductionsHD It's ancient-- probably 30 years old. But they make them basically the same setup still. You could get a used one from BH photo or amazon too

  • yea i got that. its called an iphone.

  • @yiehhh1 I don't know what that is

  • Yes, but does it blend?

  • @SamuraiPie8111 It blends with AWESOMENESS

  • Yes, but...can it run Crysis?

  • @ArmyOfWalrus You can play Tetris on it...

  • You could say the ipod was to film video where you need to sync your video to music overlayed later, so the ipod is to play the music while filming. The GPS could be wired to the camera to record the location so when you're filming over various locations and you could remember what scene was shot where.

  • @medicwine I = impressed

  • Lol yeah when it comes to dslr rigs, it just looks ridiculous >.< just looks like a Frankenstein no matter what.

  • Liked before i even saw the video...like a BAWS.

  • don't you need a crossbow on that?

  • @lobitas3399 I did. But then there was an accident. I shot my NES controller

  • @pumthuggee oh just ad a Kevlar vest for your nes controller

  • Is it me or does he remind you of bradley cooper?

  • it was good up to the iPod

the mic was a great idea

  • hmm seems like a lot of people commenting on this vid have a.. virus.. ;)

  • Oney liked this

I bet he will buy it and then beat the shit out of it and flush it down the toilet as he usually does

  • hahahahaahah...

    really?

    Damn!

  • I want to see the results!!!

  • @Frakos Only those who are chosen may see....

  • They see me trollin'....

  • *cough* OneyNG *cough*

  • @MrWarenia *cough*fag*cough*

  • @sensori

    *cough!!*DOUCHE!*COUGH!! COUGH!!!!*

  • @MrWarenia Nyquill?

  • This shit is a peice of trash it dosent have a coffe holder everything else is irrelevant

  • @GhostNY100 My new model has 2 cupholders and one has a USB warming base.

  • "Killer LED Book light"

  • @matmiester That's "LED" as in Lethal Ex-Ray Diopters" - it will kill animals with its blinding rays

  • This makes me realize how stupid some of these DSLR-rigs actually look! :P

  • @8375705 Hahahah- I had all this junk in my closet- Check out my other video about the real DSLR rig, that will give you prices and a plan

  • LMAO, that's bloody awesome, man!

  • u can add a toilet paper as well.. when u wanna drop a sh1t while shooting in the woods :P

  • @Demetris85 That is a great idea. I thought about having a roll of paper towels but TP is even better. Kudos

  • ahahaa

  • Oh man you made my day!

  • Hey I'm building one for my 7d! Now this makes me feel deflated! Lol the iPod is a good idea tho!!!!

  • @benofkent Hahah hey I do have a video on how to make an actual rig/glider, you should take a look at that. It's for real, not insane like this one. But I do regret not having a cupholder or tic tac dispenser on board...

  • AGGAGAGAGAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • fuck you

  • LMAO

  • I thought this was serious until the i-pod came out.

  • @kingklabe Hahah - i have a serious one just check my vids

  • Do you provide a diagram for all of us DIY guys? And maybe a source for all the crap you used to insult our intelligence?

  • @EAllenMatthews Unfortunately no diagram but as repentance for this horrible video please check my later videos as I do have a tutorial on how to make one the right way and with a crazy awesome glider feature that I invented. You'll see it my list of videos, enjoy

  • hahaha for only 9 payments of $49.95...

  • how many cup holders does it have?

  • @klestor Only 3 but i'm really trying to get it up to spec by having a camelbak built in + a 40 holder

  • dam man haha. lol that made me crack up. Some of that stuff is totaly over the top. But i am gonna steal the idea of the old school flash older. and build a rig round that.

    nice work lol

  • Haha man.... you seriously have too much shit on that rig. You dont need more than half of that shit. U need a mic, the camera, the rig, and MAYBE the light. other than that, you're wasting space.

  • This movie should have ended on 2:30

  • LMAO!!!!!! WHO IS THIS GUY. yOU FUNNY DUDE...SERIOUSLY!

  • @guguemichaels haha thanks! Check my website and hit me up!

  • this is comedy geneous

  • DIY satire at its best. Thanks!

  • @GodownEd1 HAhah thanks- I have a real tutorial too for an actual rig- I can walk the walk -hahahh

  • youre werry messy.

  • Why...wast my time!

  • Although there are some parts of this that are clearly a joke.. a lot of it is very useful. Some of those rigs are ridiculously overpriced and could be made very cheaply on your own.

  • Not funny,waste of time!

  • The LED light wont help a thing. Its useless. what is it, .003 watts?

Also the filter doesnt look cool.

  • The filter DOESNT look cool.

  • Men i need coffee while im working! Can u mount a cap of coffee up there?

Seriously, men i think its ridiculous!

  • u said to put that filter on cuz it looks cool......smh

  • Let's blend it !

  • You forgot other Things! What If I get hungry while filming? there should be a snack holder! XD

  • @HatroVille Yes, good idea. Actually our Deluxe HDYUM Edition does have a snack holder as well as a 2-can beverage holder with straw attachment.

  • Dude, what about your follow focus?

  • @vervegrande There is an optional "surface of the sun" kit that utilizes an external frame backpack, a trapeze and a jack-o-lantern to create that bright "high school musical" stage feel. It only costs $4500. Oh and it comes with a filter that makes the beam have a heart shape.

  • Fantastic Set up! Looking forward on creating mine on this extended holiday weekend! You might want to think about getting a patent for this rig!

  • sorry I have to type everything twice because i have a genetic youtube disorder. Are chopsticks not for germans then because I will get mine back. Is it something to do with the UN?

  • This looks very complicated. Do you sell them ready made?

  • @belfryman Hahhah no, I only sell inspiration. You can do it though- with enough time and materials and rainbow dust

  • I'm trying it with a kindle light, but the kindle is now in every shot, would a table lamp work as well?

  • @belfryman No no no- you need our Colonial Lampstand add-on. It provides natural 44kelvin warm, natural light using and 8 candle brass candle holder. It is a stylish and efficient way to get that natural light look that filmmakers love. Just don't tip it to the sides or scalding wax will spill onto your face and camera.

  • @pumthuggee That sounds amazing and would look very retro to people in the know but i'd be concerned that regular Joes would get the wrong impression and mistake me for a low tech camera chap and not the hip hoping contemporary videographererer I am? is there any way to overcome the dangers of such an unfortunate misinterpretation?

  • @belfryman If you have an iphone 4 and a t shirt that says something ironic then that will go a long way in your street cred. I've seen many lame filmmakers go a long way in their careers by flashing their Apple products around and wearing funny slogan T's that say things like "Chopsticks are for Germans", etc...

  • @pumthuggee that sounds fantastic and would no doubt be admired for retro stylee by all those in the know. But I would be worried regular Joe punter may mistake me for an outmoded camera chap and not the hot diggedy, kardashian hills loving, up to the hip hop moment, groovy, crazy, just crazy, contemporary videographerer that I am. Do you have any mean of preventing this potential misinterpretation of my equipment?

  • Just what I need but very tricky to make. Do you sell these ready made?

  • I love it when people don't get comedy, because it is done with a straight face. Those are the sort of people who need canned laughter to prompt them to laugh. You know a little nudge to say "Yes, laugh now this is the funny punch line"

    This video is great!

Does your rig come with a holster for beer cans, I mean when I am out on a long shoot, I NEED BEER!<<<<< Yes laugh now that was the punch line. =)

  • @BunWackettBuzzard HAhahha well our beer-holder model is still in development but we do have a model we've developed with Camelback that incorporates a 2 pint bladder with straw attachment that hooks on under the flash bracket. Many of our filmmakers have found that to be a good solution although we're trying to increase the size so that you can get completely plastered instead of just a little buzzed on your shoot. Check back for the latest news and thanks for your inquiry.

  • I'm hoping and praying this is a joke.

  • I can't tell if this is supposed to be a joke or not.

  • I was gonna get the redrock but I think I'll go with your model

  • @bobspark18 HAhah yes- my version will save you $2500 and basically does everything the redrock does! (except for focussing, panning, slide rail, smooth motion, balance and stability)

  • lol

  • LOL nintendo and ipod xD

  • wtf? nintendo?

  • is that flash bracket all one piece if so whats the name an where can i purchase one?

  • @dangerboy550 it's actually 2 flash brackets that I bolted together. The one with the curvy handle is from the 70s haha i just found it- the larger one i got online for about $10. If u have some spare time and some basic nuts and bolts you can bolt them together to make a super bracket. you might even be able to buy a 2-sided one I didn't really check

  • Dude - this is exactly what I needed to know for my T2i. Thanks man!

  • @jamessfromtx No prob! PS- Don't forget the cup holder. My latest deluxe model also has an umbrella holder and laser pointer. You might want to consider working those into your design. Good luck!

  • @pumthuggee And of course you wouldn't leave home without the portable microwave with the dc to hdmi port adaptor included....surely not???

  • @CoDHeaven The microwave is pretty important but I have also used a blowtorch add-on because it can be used as a flamethrower OR for food purposes. Just make sure your blowtorch has the correct HDMI connector and not the miniHD or firewire 800 plug.

  • @pumthuggee Is that a 3rd party blowtorch or Canon's Pyro 200oC/0.5sec model? I've really been thinking about getting one for the past few months, I've heard that Sigma are brining out a new 400/0.7s flame for three quarters of the price of the Canon Pyro, but it can actually overheat your slr's circuit board? I've also heard that firewire and Lightkon are brining out new adaptors to match this...the future is bringing some pretty kick ass things for the DSLR world!!

  • @CoDHeaven Dude do NOT buy the Canon brand blowtorch. It is 5x the price as the generic version but basically works the same. I would recommend buying Canon's Butane Fuel instead of the generic flamethrower stuff. Other than that make sure you have your Rhode Mic Flame Retardent wrap around cover so you don't light your shotgun mic on fire and you're good to go.

  • Comment removed

  • what kind of canon is that?

  • @Yoshe7771 just some older one- not a DSLR. I think its the Rebel xsi

  • @pumthuggee that is a dslr fucking dumbass

  • @BenMenzel4 haha thanks

  • ...this is so lame. everyone knows the orig nintendo controller is NOT compatible with the booklight 300. what you need is the booklight 350. d'uh.

  • @twothumbsfresh You're absolutely right- I mean, I had the NES/booklight 250 adaptor and then used the secret code from StreetFighter II to hack past the compatibility issue. Now it's just that my compass is a first generation flex-head and won't work with my ipod strap 2.0! Any advice?

  • Can you tell me what kind of flash holder that is..., and/or where to buy one? im seriously going to do this.....

  • @narutokiller9 I would check ebay for used, BHphoto for new. Mine is Olympus but any brand will work. Search for "camera flash bracket", that's the correct term for that thing. They have some newer ones that are pretty nice too for cheap so you could find a less ghetto version. Good luck!

  • You forgot places to put food.

  • @THEchriscola you don't need food if you have a dslr camera like this. It feeds you.

  • @THEchriscola Dang it!

  • I just made that exact setup; only, I added Saran wrap and some floaties because I was recording a new Jaws movie..

  • @hajahaya0 Excellent! Yes I considered adding some kind of flotation or hover option like the hoverboard in back to the future II but there just wasn't time. Also you could use a hamster ball and put the rig inside it for waterproofing

  • Shouldn't you also include something in case of a bear attack?

  • @leetstaek You are absolutely right I completely missed that. In my next vid I think I'll add a flamethrower and possibly some kind of knife/sword holder. thanks!
