Torque is not the same as horsepower. For 0-2xx runs one needs loads of horsepower, and plentyful of torque. The 1.4 TSI 140 hp has 240 newtonmetres, and the 2.0 TDI 140 HP has 320 newtonmetres, yet the 1.4 is quicker. So trust me, the car is quicker in S mode than in D mode.

ben tdı motoru 2000 model 1.9 passattan beri biliyorum ve beğeniyorum.ama bizim vergi sistemimize göre 1.4 jetta varken 2.0 tdı almak hiç ekonomik gelmiyor bana.daha alırken 12-15 bin fark ödüyorsunuz.motorlu taşıtlar vergisi deseniz ayrı bi dert.yani araba 1 depoyla 2000 km de yapsa ekonomik olamıyor.zaten performansta turbo benzinli aracın üstün olduğu bariz ortada....neyse vw 1.6 tdı 140 hp motor üzerinde çalışıyor.çıkarsa bizim ülkemiz için ilaç gibi gerlir

daha hızlı ve çok daha ucuz tsı jetta varken kim bu 2.0 tdı jettaları alıyo hayret ediyorum.

Filmdeki araç 2006 model olup o yıl tsi teknolojisi yoktu, sonra ayni araç tdi pumpe duse olup bir depo yakıtla 1000 km yol yapabilyor en azından kendi gücündeki tsi jetta kadar güç ve son sürat performansı ve daha fazla ara hızlanma performansı veriyor. TDI kullanmayan farkı anlayamaz.

devam ediyorum söylenen 1.4 tsi mono turbo charge(118hp) ve twin charge(160 hp) için vergi avantajı geçerli ama 1.8 ve 2.0 tsi için geçerli değil yakında ülkemizdede avrupadakş gibi kw başına vergilendirme olduğunda 1.4 tsi her iki vrsiyonununda sadece yakıt tasarrufu ve hafiflik avantajı kalacaktır.

Hey hybrid owners, you hear that engine? No, you know why, because its quiet, super clean, fast, and gets FAR better mileage on the open highway at 70 mph. This car has been beating the Prius in every highway mileage test there itasince 2004....and...the new BMW 5 series diesel in Europe got better mileage on the highway....a nearly 2 ton car! The US EPA sucks and shame on them for purposely underating the real world mileage of this car.

@1965JWP EPA is rarely right...first they slightly overrate numbers, now they underrate them so people won't "bitch and whine". How else you think it's possible....in 2011...for a 2500lb subcompact to be rated 31hwy? That's stupid, we all KNOW anything that small and slow gets high 30s. Not that any of them can compete with the TDi though;)

The TDi engine and DSG trans go well together it seems. A GT golf with the 125kw 2.0L TDi with DSG should be a good punchy little cruiser.

I am still amazed at how quickly and smoothly the DSG shifts. Hopefully they turn out to be reliable units!
