"Red light Racicot" brought back memories of the most lop-sided victory the Florida Panthers had in their expansion year - 8 to 3 vs the defending Stanley Cup champs in Miami. Had season tix for the Panthers, and that was one of the most memorable games that year for an arena full of Hab fans....
I could do without the horn, but at least without music blasting at 150 dB, you can hear the crowd cheering for the goals. I sure miss the time when you could tell what arena the game was in. Winnipeg Arena, The Forum and Maple Leaf Gardens were the best.
Good luck Winnipeg getting your hockey team back where it belongs.
This is one year before Gary Bettman took office, which makes me think that the league was looking to expand into the Phx market, however if you look at the leagues history and defunct teams or teams that have been moved prior to 1992, teams that don't work either fold, or don't stay put for long
Ex: Kansas City Scouts (2 seasons) --> Colorado Rockies (6 years, it could work) but finally moved in 1982 to New Jersey to become the Devils.
Wow, can you imagine anyone today getting away with what Don Cherry said "How many FOREIGNERS do they have on their team? 1, that's why they're winning" crazy. "A foreign experiment"
cant wait for the first Jets game in 15 years........the greatest moment in the current NHL

Selanne already had 18 goals by December in that season...amazing...

@cgasucks yeah 18 goals in 25 games. What's funny is Stamkos started off this season ahead of that pace. But he couldn't sustain it.
