This is hilarious, it's a freakin' pet nail trimmer that's been slightly modified. Must be great for elderly or people with rheumatism and other problems but for those able bodied, a knife or peeler would be faster and easier. I sugesst you make a coarser head that can be swapped out though, would make it so you don't need to go over the same spot on that butternut squash a few times.

Hi and thanks for your interest in the peeler. One or two people have said they can remove the scales with it - I have not tried. However I am testing a new blade concept which I believe will do this very well. Do you de-scale fish by hand on a regular basis? I am hoping the new blade will be of interest to people in Japan, Korea etc., where this is done on a regular basis.

How is this any different from using a manual peeler? You still have to run it over the entire vegetable/fruit in motions quite similar to those you would use if you were manually peeling. Seems like you were using one of those sweater fuzz trimmers one day and decided to try it out on your vegetable. Useless.

Umm, I'm not a scientist or anything, but I think it would be very dangerous to have that thing hovering over container of water because it plugs into an electrical outlet... What if it slipped and you dropped it into the water??? This would be better if it ran on batteries, and slightly more powerful so you can take faster passes. It looks like you have to go at a moderate rate. I'd rather go faster.
