this is such a cool scene 0.0 and trippy and kinda creepy..... i so luv sherlock holmez ^.^ i hafta say though this was always one of my favorite episodes. and one of the more disturbing ones.
Yes he gave up drugs but went back to them, he used to be on cocaine and morphine, back then it was legal you see but eventually and thankfully turned illegal :)
...but at that point in the episode, Holmes was testing a theory about the powder that had been found at the scenes of the tregannis murders, so he wasn't doing drugs...in fact, earlier in the episode (only the t.v. version) Holmes gave up the drugs... just saying...
Hey, no fair! You cut off the best part! Where's Holmes calling Watson "John"? I have to say I like Watson's response here better than the one in the original story, it seems more realistic.
Sh. "I owe you both my thanks and an apology. It was an injustifiable experiment even for one's self, and doubly for a friend. I am really very sorry"
JW: "You know" I answered with some emotion, for I had never seen so much of Holmes's heart before,"that it is my my greatest joy and privilege to help you"
I fell in love at once with JB watching at this episode, this was the first time I saw Jeremy, and this scene is difficult to perform: he was brilliant, gorgeous and simply perfect!
This is what the BI-POLAR feels abit,
This episode was filmed shortly after he was released after being sectioned..
'His performances are Genuine as with most Method-Actors from the Old-School.

Man that was scary and sad to watch. It goes to show just how drugs can ruin a person's life. Poor Holmes!

That's ok. But you gotta admit the part where blood is pouring down his face is creepy.

When I first watched the Devil's Foot, during this part, I was rocking back and forth going... "Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea..." ;-)
