The Federal Reserve acts independently of the Government and makes monetary policy decisions based on the markets needs. They buy treasury bonds at market prices...that money is then inserted into circulation. The Government doesn't just have free reign over creating money out of thin air. The Federal Reserve System has allowed the world and the US to prosper. Its a great system. It does though need people to regulate the workings. This requires people that understand how finance works. This video only explains one part and ignores the total picture in order to make their point that the system is bad. I do hate when people aren't willing to give it a chance, and say it is going to be a waste of time! And they will rather wathch ironman or some shit like that. 1. I strongly believe the government is supporting things like Ironman, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and all entertainment so that people will not give there pointless lives for 2 hours of something that will teach them more then 20 years of schooling in the USA.

@Stalkerthegame The problem is this-- this world is built upon competition! Meaning it will be hard to be unified as one as this vast degree of inequality exists. The monetary systems exploits that. And we gave "power" and "control" to the people in the suits, which consists of invisible, yet a wealthy group of people; that's dangerous. They got us so fucked up in mind now that we feel we can't do nothing about cause we know who got control. The fact is we outnumber them, we have so much power!

@4DaMovieGuru Your comment reminds me again of the workers in Argentina: Their bosses closed down the factory and fired all the workers because they got something out of it, whereas the workers got nothing: So the workers cut down the locks on the factory doors, broke into the factory, and started production without the bosses. The new, worker-run factory did not rely on any communist/socialist system, they simply produced on their own accord. Production went WAY up as did their salaries!

no. He says that the origions of property stem from not having enough. In theory, if everybody had access to a TV or an up to date house, there would be no need to own anything. If you want to cling to the materials provided, go ahead. That is your burden.
Profit is different. You literally have to screw somebody else out of making gains in order for you to make "profit." It's unethical and damages people. We want collaberation, not competition.

@evilnomad111 You don't have to screw anybody to make profit. Lets say im a strawberry and grape farmer in Cali. Am I supposed to work my helpers and myself for fun? If you are going to work you have to make some profit not just to buy things or gain, but to live. If im spending money to farm and pay my workers but dont come out with a porfit i have wasted my time. Its like the old saying goes, I'd rather be an idle fool than a busy fool.

Lets say you are competing agains rival strawberry farms. A customer comes to you and asks are your strawberries better than theirs this season. You know for a fact that the competitor had a better season than you. If you were to survive in your business, you'd have to lie to that customer. Human needs and concern become second in a profit based system. Do you REALLY think businesses care about your well being? Hell no.

And a farmer can't pay his workers and live a good life without making some kind of profit. If I was a farmer selling strawberries for fun I would lose my land and home. And if my product wasnt as good i would sell it for less than the other guy, i personally wouldnt lie.

The fundamental problem with America is our debt based inflationary monetary system run by the Federal Reserve. It is unconstitutional and is the reason small business is pretty much non existant now. It bails out wall street after its bad economic policies go bad and the little guy gets nothing. We dont have a free market.

Of course there are good intentioned people, however no matter how "good" a person might be, given the certain environmental stimulations, they will behaive accordingly to survive. I don't envoke competition, for more people end up gettting hurt in the end and left out to dry. I envoke COLLABORATION. Where we acutally work together to solve our common problems as a species. THATS what counts.
Free market or not, given a monetary system, you WILL get a pull of power to one side.

If you want a real world example, take trans fats. It's scientifically proven that it's bad for you. Period. Even though it has a longer shelf life and "tastes better," they still put it into your food that you eat (however if they do they have to legally tell you it has "trans fats." Guess what? Theres a loophole. Now if they put "hydroginated oils" on the back of the ingrediants, or if there is less than 1g, they don't have to say shit.

@evilnomad111 I agree with you thats not right because trans fats cause cardiovascular problems, but that doesn't mean doing honest business is bad or hurts members of society. Thats what the government is for, to enforce contracts and punish those who conduct business that way.

When we stress a "competitive environment," we are competing against one another. In an economic system, not everyone can be rich or well off. There will alwayse be social stratfication. The entire system has poverty built into its structure.
Oh, and private lobbyists have bought out our government. Sorry. Theoretically, yeah, it sounds amazing. However in real life, thats not the case.
