The great thing about Keith, and the rest of the Stones for that matter, is that they really did their homework when it comes to music history. They know where and how it started, how it evolved, and how it's all connected.

I think that's what modern bands are lacking. And that's why all these bands sound so one-dimensional and like one another. They all have the same handful of influences, and not many choose to explore all the other great music out there.
