Makarov certainly was a formidable teacher & is certainly in Australia, where he is currently imprisoned in Long Bay Jail for multiple and systematic counts of sexual abuse of children and teenagers under his guidance & care. His grotesquely predatory behaviour was a sorry blow to the reputation of music teachers in Australia, & an appalling atrocity committed against the development of numerous young people.

Let's hope that his continuing attempts to appeal his multiple sentences are in vain.
