I loved it, and I thought it was classic Indy. I thought there could have been a litrle more character development, especially with Cate Blanchett's character, but over all I'd give it a B+ or A-. I absolutely loved the final scence the shot, I thought it was very fitting. I just hope and pray that they might have one more adventure left.

There is CG but it is kept to a minimum because the movie was shot with film not digital cameras.

All Spielberg's films have been shot without digital cameras but that didn't stop War of the Worlds (for example) from being full of CGI.

I'm not saying there's anything from about using cgi though. I'm watching Indy 4 day one! :)

Yeah but answer me this question. Which of these two movies looked more reaslistic, War of the Worlds or Star Wars Ep 3? For me War of the Worlds special effects looked real in comparison to the digial saturation that is star wars. Digital should be used in moderation to support a the movie, not lead it.

it was the rocket sled, there are pictures posted of it on the web and you also see it in the original trailer when Indy and the Russian are swinging in the air and Indy kicks the guy through the window. Also in the photo of Indy standing in the night with the fog behind him you can clearly see the tracks in which the sled was running on.

Interesting: the motorcycle Shia's character is riding is powered by a Twin Cam engine. The Twin Cam came out in 1999. Question is, was this done intentionally, or did someone just fuck up?
