seidokaikan is a impressive knockdown karate style but when it comes to kata it doesnt look as good as kyokushin. I see with every move or block they do they open the hand for a moment. Is this done on purpose? in Kyokushin we;re taught to close our first the whole time.
But when i think of bunkai then it also makes more sense to open the hand first before closing it and block. Can anyone give me an answer?

正道会館の型は、極真会館や伝統派の型とは全然違いますよ。
芦原会館の型の影響を受けている実戦的な型です。

同じ「型」でも、極真会館とは随分と違う。極真も、分裂して細かい箇所が違う。解釈の違い・・・？
組手より、基本や移動稽古、型を重視しないとダメと思う

やってることは着衣式キックボクシングだから型とか騎馬立ちからの正拳突きとかこの人たちには必要ないんだろう・・・空手を名乗るのを止めたらいいのに
かと思いきや今度は型をやるのか
基本に教えている動きはフックとかコンビネーションはボクシングっぽいを教えているのにまた空手っぽいのもやらされる 道場生が混乱すると思うが

確かにそうですね。
自分だけつらいような気持ちになってしまうこと、それによって人の事など考えられなくなることありますが、そういう自分に活を入れてくれることばです。
