!! @nanyen1991 did you say you are from edmonton!!?? I am also from edmonton!! did you take any lessons? If so, know of any in Edmonton?? I am interested in starting up the erhu but dont really know where to start
@TheCelticBomb Hi There! That is so cool! =D Yes, we did take lessons in Edmonton, but through private teacher. However, Erhu is becoming more and more prominent, you can try the Confucius Institute Edmonton,check out their website. Hope it helps. Cheers!
@puccapoon Sorry, no. This cover was done entirely by ear, and the harmonies were pretty much improvised too. I'm sure you'd be able to find it somewhere on the internet though. ^^ Thanks for watching~!
I wish I have a friend who can play erhu too =( I'm like the only kid in my university of 50,000 kids who can actually play the erhu. this is the US so not that weird.
Haha That's what I used to think. But we've helped to spread the popularity of erhu and chinese music here in edmonton, actually, so there are more and more people who have interest in or know how to play. You never know, there is probably more people than you think out there who can play, they just don't show it. ;) What university and where in the US are you, out of curiosity?
I go to University of Texas in Austin. HUGE school with lots of Asians. But even the Asians here don't know what an erhu is because all they can play are violin and piano (which EVERY Asian knows how to play lol)
@guitarhamster102 Hahaha yeah, that's true. There's a lot more CHinese musicians in Edmonton now though. LOL It's sitll fun to be able to play a special instrument though. But still, you never know. They're out there.
@blues1224erika Hi there! Thanks for watching our video, we're glad you like it. Unfortunately, we played this entire song by ear, adn the duet was arranged by the two of us based off the links mentioned in the description, so we have no sheet music =( I'm not sure where you would find it, either. Sorry.

Eight years?
You are very good.
I am pairing the ensemble with a few friends.
Please improve the duet of a famous tune in China.
I will mimic it.
Jay Chou is very nice!

@nanyen1991 I play the erhhu.
However, it doesn't progress easily because it started after it grows up.

@blues1224erika Ohh that's cool. How long have you been learning? I'm sorry, I didn't understand too much of your comment.

I grew up, and started the erh hu.
I am not so good.
