  • Why would you not want kids to watch this? It's a perfectly normal part of nature and nothing to frown upon. In fact we should encourage kids to watch series like these, might stop them from walking up to wild animals and saying "hi" after watching too many disney movies.

  • did the lioness which was kicked died?

  • @zhangruyi yes, twice

  • The Disnification of real life.

  • the most intense, thrilling, action packed documentry i have ever seen,Matiha's determination, courage leaves you panting in anticipation of whats her next move, speechless with her love for her cubs ...magnificent creatures lions are...

  • Gang-raped lol

  • 2:03 удушающий

  • Look at that determination at 1:14 as it jumps on the Buffalo's back. Awesome

  • Good looking lions!

  • got an extra meal cause it was pregnat

  • i'm gunna puke..

  • Lol its like if the lions r fucking the buffalo

  • u morons deleted the best part..shamee

  • "that was a nice moment when a couple of lions get kicked in the face"

  • it is so pity to cut such beatufil shots

i put world in making documents also for "adult audience"

  • the buffalo should have just stayed in the water

  • lool.. its animals, not hard to watch.

  • I hate how we humans bang on about how its "hard to watch" and "too gory" this is Nature. Its only because WE get our meat in a pretty box @ the grocery store. *THIS* is gory?? How many watching this like BBQs, eat burgers and enjoy ham sandwiches? Pay a visit to the places *those* animals are slaughtered. Then come back here and say which is "worse"! On another note - great work by Nat Geo team.

  • Nature at her best all quite normal really,

Buffalo are some strong animals lol on a diet of nothing but grass.

  • 1:13 is the best shot

  • That wasn`t that bad, hell kids play video games that show worse.

  • @cavalodawg . Ye ur damn right, that is something that doesnt make sence it all, lions are good hunters if you dont gonna see any on this movie, it probably would suck. But still im gonna buy this dvd to support the lions.

  • piece of meat

  • I have seen such documentaries where animals hunt and kill other animals since I was a kid. And all it has done is it has helped me understand what nature really is. It is a harsh world where everybody needs to manage on its own and that's it. I also don't see the difference between killing scenes in documentaries and action movies. If to censor documentaries, why not censor movies? At least animals kill for a reason.

  • They didn't steal her prey. I doubt that she has the power to bring down the buffalo alone.

  • Merciless Nature

  • the buffalo is me and the lions are banks!

  • poor thing was pregnant

  • @Fidget244 And another fun fact, lots of slaughterhouses bleed animals. So looks like we do know how to do that too. Ain't we talented!

  • @Fidget244

    Damn character limit.

As I was saying, humans are also the best animal. All wild animals do is eat, sleep, roll in filth, have sex, have babies, fight, and die with no form of medical treatment. If you really have such a problem with humans, smash your computer, burn your clothes, discard every man-made thing that you own, and go live with the wild animals you admire so much. You'll probably be dinner in two seconds.

  • @Fidget244 ...yeah, I couldn't understand a lot of that but I'm going to assume English isn't your first language. But anyway.

    1. "they know everything how to bleed the animal" Lions don't bleed their prey. They strangle them.

    2. "but don't the process to pass or were they came from" ...wut? No I'm sorry I'm not making fun of you but I truly don't have the slightest idea what you mean...please to explain?

    3. Omnivores eat meat so there's nothing wrong with that.

    4. Humans are also the best

  • She was pregnant :((((

  • wow is so fast and intelligent they know everything how to bleed the animal 2:54

people don't know that the human is the worst animal in the earth do this and more no because need it only for vice as in cow slaughter or any animals people eat that but don't the process to pass or were they came from. The human beings are omnivores by nature not carnivores but human like to play being carnivorous.

  • i always watch lions kill, its great

  • I just saw the film today and I'll agree that that scene was hard to watch, not because of the violence, but the emotion that went with it.

I'm just gonna say that this movie will indeed make you cry...very sad and yet inspirational at the same time.

GO SEE THIS FILM & LETS HELP OUR WORLD'S LIONS!

  • Don't read this if you haven't seen the film. Anyway, I would like to know what happened to the abandoned cub that was injured?

  • amazing!!! thanks for posting it up here

  • She said she doesn't think the audience is ready for this kind of graphic/gore?!?! hahaha ah man this is nothing compared to Saw! They should've kept it in!

  • @RockAndRollRockOn Honestly I think children and teens are quite desensitised when it comes to horror movies these days, so there's always that factor of "oh well it's only a movie" that comes into their heads. As for nature, the killing and blood is entirely real so I understand if some people would feel uneasy viewing it.

  • well thank god you deleted this scene

  • If anyone watches BIG CAT DIARY does this lioness with the white eye not look exactley like the white eyed cat in the series? I wonder if it might be the same cat.

  • @brandywilliams210 No Big Cat Diary was filmed in the Masai Mara this was in Botswana's Okavango Delta.

  • Mother nature is a bitch!

  • oh..the scene was deleted? Big deal! I've seen scenes JUST LIKE THIS while actually watching the national geographic channel on Direct TV....

  • ready for the scene yet?? is he a fucking moron? god damnn.. what kind of audiences are you expecting dumb ass? 5 years old girls? hell even modern girls are braver than that.

  • Imo, it's nature and I think that was awesome. Shouldn't have kept this out of the movie, I understand it's for a family type film, but I'd rather it be teen+ =P

  • damn that lion was waiting for that neck, lol

  • look at that blood spewing out

  • Can't wait for this video to come out. It's going to be hot. What I think the filmographers should have done is left the censored footage at the end, labeling it as censored footage or something. I like this rare gruesome stuff. LOL! This films gonna be greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat. I wonder what the story of this lion they're following is going to be about. Like humans, every lion has a different story. I do hope the lions take on something out of the ordinary like a hippo.

  • @Tonetare a hippo would run train on lions

  • @21OverDrive lol @ "run train" and yea, probably. I have seen like a big proud along with a male have big stand off with an injured hippo though

  • I thought all lions did was talk about the circle of life on disney movies. Good thing you people edited this out, viewers would get the impression that LIONS ARE PREDATORS AND THIS IS WHAT THEY DO

  • 2:20 nice bite, PREDATOR BITE,. rawr

  • 1:30 BACK THAT THANG UP!!

  • survival of the fittest in the purest sense.

  • This is Nature, life feeds upon life.

  • Wow...amazing! Although some people would be disturbed but, I'm glad the deleted scenes are still available thanks to the producers and YouTube. The only disturbing thing about the video is the title: The Last Lions. It's a shame how the natural wonders of migrating herds and spectacular predators are diminishing right before our very eyes. It's also tough to know how natural territory is being consumed by our habitation. Other than that thanks for the videos.

  • DAAMNN NATURE, YOUR CRAZZYY!

  • Mashallah nature is awesome

    :)

  • @cesaryusuf fuck you

  • 1:37-1:42 VROOM VROOM FROM THE BACK!

  • these deleted scenes are awesome!

  • shook me the hell up ... but bravo on a great shot and thanks for uploading

  • LOL THIS IS SO COMMON AMONG HUMANS TOO

  • i need sex with a lion

  • damn nature you scary

  • "This video contains content from National Geographic, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.

Sorry about that." AND THAT IS WHY I AM UN SUBSCRIBING> SO MANY YOU GO TO SEE AND YOU GET THIS.

  • The last look of the buffalo reminds me the last look of NEDA, the Iranian martyr. Watch the video that I uploaded. RIP Neda.

  • now that buffalo is you and those lions are credit companies.

  • @aliwesker and we love it

  • so scary !

  • Lion: yummy yummy yummy there is meat in my tummy!

Cow: Mah told me not to go for a jog but NOOOOO!

  • (̅_̅_̅_̅(̲̲̲̲̲̅̅̅̅̅̅(̅_̅_̲̅м̲̅a̲̅я̲̅i̲̅j̲̅u̲̅a̲̅n̲̅a̲̅̅_̅_̅_̅()

Take a puff and pass it down.

  • I wish they would leave the family movies to disney. National Geographic is supposed to be wildlife reality, even when it's hard to watch.

  • I think personally, that a viewer has the right to determine the acceptability of a graphic video, not some censor. People should realize this (especailly parents), but if you don't like what you see in anything; Change the channel, flip the page, look away, close the blinds on your window, or just walk away.

People are capable of this, and they know it. But the stupid parents have to blame the media for a lot because they weren't RESPONSIBLE enough for what their kid has watched or read...

  • @KidAnime20 ya ya ya 5 young children with a parent watching this in the cinema . the parent is going to easily block all the children's vision from seeing it. na dont think so kid! they did the right thing taking it out as they had to shorten it some how so its best take out gory & controversial stuff. if you really want to see it it will be in bonus or deleted scenes on the DVD.

  • @kieran360 I never said it would be easy for the parents to to enlighten their kids on any subject. And yeah, DVDs are useful for that.

But it's THEIR responsibility as parents to teach their own kids about what ever life throws at them. Not the media, not a censor, or anything else. A lot of people wouldn't be such delinquents if their parents stepped up and actually did what they were supposed to do.

They may as well feed their own kids to a lion if they can't be responsible enough...

  • @KidAnime20 NOT TO MENTION THAT THIS IS NATURE THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME IN NATURE...A LION HAS PROBALLY KILLED A BUFFALO WHILE I WAS TALKING.....HONESTLY I HAVE SEEN FAR MORE GRUESOME KILLS ON ANIMAL PLANET

  • @simbamanzz LoL! I thought you meant lions kill buffalo while talking. Like as they're taking down the buffalo, the lions are chatting "Girl, where you fixing to go after we take down this buffalo?" "I dunno girl. Nafari and I were fixing to go to the club at 7." "Girl, you serious. Don't Nafari have cubs already." "Girrrrrl, that's what I said. She knows she is tripping still going out to the club when she's got 9 cubs on her and from 5 different male lions. Shoot! All right buffalo is dead."

  • @Tonetare lmao

  • @KidAnime20 xd

  • @KidAnime20 My opinion is that it doesn't really matter what they see or what they read or hear because when they grow up, they are going to see or hear things much worst then what they are seeing as a kid.

  • @dasupasin True neough. But that is not going to stop the parents from doing what they do. And a majority of parents in the U.S. are so irresponsible.

  • @KidAnime20

Oh god for some reason I got the image a parent going "OH NOES IF MAI KID SEE NATURE HELL GO TO AFRICA AND KILL BUFFALO WITH HIS TEETHS!"

  • @Lucifuhrerr It could get worse than that. >.>

  • @Lucifuhrerr It could get worse than that. O.o

  • @KidAnime20

    His lil brother? XD

"Bob, stop eating your brothers face!"

  • @Lucifuhrerr Yep, there ya go. I think parents just exaggerate the effects of certan progrmas on children. It's up to them how to explain how everything works and such.

  • @KidAnime20: wait you first say that the viewer should have all the responsibility and that parents in particular should realize this, implying that their kids should have the freedom to watch what they want. But then you conclude by more or less saying that parents weren't responsible enough for their children. A bit of a mixed message, don't you think?

  • @theWall0719 Yes, I understand my contradiction here. But here's the thing though. While every person has the ability to decide for themselves, parents have to be the ones to guide their children... otherwise, they get lost and confused... they may even become delinquents.

I'm not saying that parents should refrain kids from seeing stuff like this. I'm saying that they need to be prepared to explain rationally about what they see and hear. If they can't, that's their fault on their end.

  • those lions would make elite rugby players

  • good stuff

  • great shots of the lions, I wonder what kind of camera they used to get such close up footage. thanks for posting ...i love watching National Geographic.

  • @jennywu73 the lens kit itself costs over 26k USD , i donno about the camera itself , but as photographer's-point-of-view ... it was superb all the way

highly professional and the team work is amazing

i just can't wait to see such movies in home 3D , it'll be astonishing

  • man STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fresh meat

  • the blood squirting made me a bit queasy.

  • the lions eye looks weird

  • wow nice shot , one of the best shot i have seen .

  • Wow that was pretty graphic. Probably good call taking it out but thanks for sharing on youtube. :-D

  • i wonder how they get to take the shot that was so close to the lions.

  • @darrenwks they have lenses that will zoom in for almost a kilometer, they talk about in in the bbc earth collection

  • what the fuck are they thinking censoring nature? i like you nat geo, but grow some fucking balls, i watched this stuff as a little kid and i didnt find it disturbing in any way.

  • @fenotipobombay +1 hope a group of lions get them

  • I LIKE THE BUFLLO EYE REFLECTION

  • fuck your ads

  • I am eating while watching this and it's making me more hungry.

  • Beautiful. These lionesses are amazing. Great video!

  • This scene contains mass quantities of OMNOMNOMNOMNOM!

  • To make this video a whole lot more awesome play this video, with this music.

    /watch?v=46tS09yBc9I

  • Mmmm...pizza pops.

  • @RS11raptor11 {lol}

there was just a pizza pop ad right before I saw this scene..!!

  • @strawswirls Exactly what I thought people would say. =D

  • i hate the relaxed voice of the commentators.. hope that a lion get em

  • rip buffalo

  • thats awesome

  • That was awsome. I would go see that movie if it had a bunch of scenes like that. The animal kingdom at its best :D

  • i didnt rly get grossed out :/

normal scene, i wasnt raised as a pussy

  • why delete this? make it 18+ or ban any indians to watch this, cuz indians think cow is sacred and shit

  • i watched this on HD i almost pissed my pants.

  • That was beautiful!!! Except for the funny blood part xD

  • why are they always so sad filming this? this is nature. its what lions do.

  • Judging by these "deleted scenes" videos, it seems the movie has been severely dumbed down and softened for the mass viewing audience (mainly an audience of dimwits, undoubtedly.) This saddens me. People need to see nature in all its horrific terror, and all of its unbounded beauty. Maybe then, people will stop seeing God every time they see a flower or bird. They will then remember there are an animal having its throat eaten at the same time, and realize nature isn't ALL beautiful and loving.

  • 1:55 shows a lioness pause, aim and finally lunge with perfect form for the jugular. Lights out.

  • We hear about murderers mutilating people for no reason every other week, and they think the audience isn't able to watch a lion take down a cow..

  • @mario11168 lol true.

  • Wow this is awesome. Sucks it got taken out but I'm glad it was posted here!

  • aww your takeing all the best parts out

  • thanks for the post

  • Dont f with a lion,

  • first

  • Snnnnnnnnnnnnnnore!

  • Wow. This is crazy intense. The blood squirting out, and the closeups. This is the circle of life at its best, though. People shouldn't be sad over this dead cow- these lioness will survive off of its meat, and their cubs will survive off of their mothers.

  • @SElement91 The cow and her cubs didn't need the lions to survive... This "circle of life" is really sad, we should use our brains and hands and will to construct a different circle...

  • @vitor1271 Unfortunately, that will never be possible. The brains, hands and wills of mankind will never override millions upon millions of years of animal instinct. It may be sad, yes, but it is how life and nature work. Besides, if everything were to rely on plants then that is one food source for a lot of creatures so there would be a lot of starvation, and then there are no predators to cull the old and sick, especially when the illness could spread to the rest of the population.

  • @vitor1271 Lollll you must be joking! This is the natural order of the universe. You must be out of your damn mind.

  • So Sad, However, Great Video.

  • whoa really amazing

  • lion are smart

  • why are they biting its ass?

  • @psyckojoe safer then being by the head and there's soft tissue they can tear open to cause more blood loss

  • @infamos they weaken it before going for the kill at the troat, then.

im ready to live in the jungle (i know this is the savanna(h?) but i know how to kill a panther now)

  • @psyckojoe if you ever attempt to kill a panther, you should record it on camera, Ive never seen a panther take down its prey and could provide invaluable scientific info, good luck with that.

  • @infamos oh please. ive killed over 1 chicken with an axe. those panthers cant be too much of a task if i bring my minigun. as long as its caged, of course.

  • @psyckojoe kinda disappointed you'd use a weapon, back int day we'd use our bare hands but I guess we jus live in different times.

  • i feel sorry for the buffallo

  • amazing i like it...

  • if you think we r not ready to see this/ handle this, WHY IN THE HELL R U SHOWING THIS ONLINE NOW? ANY ONE WHO GO ON UTUBE CAN SEE IT. any ages? u make no Since NG

  • @starthi like they said,, this is for theaters targeted to a family audience;

on youtube, most people watching this are age appropriate as they think it and responsible in the sense that they wouldn't watch something they dont want to

  • real gangsta shit

  • 3:12 that lion looks epic! ... and why is this sad again? Its Nature.

  • @DMBL4KJAK looks like a cataract but i don't now :p

  • Blood squirt at 2:14, just raw, i like it

  • Damn Nature, you scary!

  • excellent video here.

  • lol these two looks like a 90's olds and talking about 2 cats fight.

  • still better than beeing locked up in a steakfabrik all your life

  • As if, for myself i always find that watching how they eat the animal was quite interesting.. but thats just my view and to me it just seems like this is just nature and why does it have to be disgusting or vile to watch... it is almost like an art how they decapitate the animal.

  • fake and gay =3

  • @mikedynasty yea cuz this screams fake and gay. wtf are you talking about? what a stupid ass comment to make.

  • @xbryman92x relax buddy its just a joke =)

  • It would be a multi kill if i engage a predator while they are eating.

  • 1:37 got a dog style

  • I think its stupid to give the illusion that nature is nice.... its unnatural..........

  • @vlvl21 nature is nice
