  • This thing got momentum.

  • RIP Shane Cross.

  • The song all comes together with a STRONG BEAT and more! Thank God for the 60's with its creative music. I was part of that experience, playing in a GARAGE BAND. It was GREAT!

  • Stevie , Gowings , Ray , Andrews Bros .

  • tits!

  • The roots of AC/DC lead back to this always rockin' tune.

  • @Fakename70 Isn't that Angus Young's uncle on lead guitar?

  • @kubrick681

No...and yes. George Young is the older brother of Angus & Malcolm and played rhythm guitar. Harry Vanda was on bass and together they produced a handful of AC/DC albums during the Bon Scott-era. I believe that Highway To Hell might have been the first AC/DC album not produced by Vanda and Young. But, they did every LP prior to that.

  • I love fridays

  • Hey there young Tiger, Be carefull what you wish for! For 1 you'd be about my age 15 in my heart and mind in a 61 year old's body! Yeah there were fun things but ugly things. Saw 6 kids I grew up with die in 9 months from the drug scene! My cousin watched a kid dive under a semi in front of the Grandie Ballroom in Detroit! There was Viet Nam that killed 58,000 young men you could have been one! "67 riots 1 year, the next we partied together when we one the World Series...........

  • I love this song, awesome!!!

  • i listen to this every monday lol

  • Great drums. Hold on! KSL

  • its funny, you can always tell what year it was by what a person was wearing. change was the theme of the 60's

  • Shane Cross!

  • 314: la mente più fraciaca e viaggiata: o i niostri priobliemi vengono dal pass, dal preè

  • monday i've had friday on my mind all these years....

  • GET READY WORLD.

    It is coming up again.

    Another GREAT FRIDAY!

  • I'm pretty sure I prefer this song about friday over rebecca black's friday

  • Groups like this were the innovators, creative artists before they had anyone to copy. I'm glad I was a teen when this stuff came out!!!!!

  • One of the most keenly constructed rock songs from this era. Just check out the chord progression and the seperate guitar parts.

  • I still have this album I still have a working record player some the great sons are a little scratchy but how cool BG

  • Hey Stevie , remember Andrews bros regards , Ray

  • Best rock song of all time :)

  • Sounds like it could be the theme of a 60's T.V. show.

  • Maybe... Just maybe, the first precursor to punk along with Talk Talk by the Music Machine.

  • @nutreez i don't know, you may be right, but it's still rock and roll to me. : )

  • yeah, fuck you rebecca black youre not the only one who wants frickin friday!

  • "EVEN MY OLD MAN LOOKS GOOD". YOU JUST CAN'T COME UP WITH BETTER LYRICS THAN THAT.

  • Classic song... 'Friday on my mind' by the easybeats.. I really, do miss the 60's..

  • @Tiger1968ify Be happy that you lived at that time, I'm 15 and I can only dream to live in the 60's!!!

  • thank you so much for sharing your comment. I have added you as my friend. please feel free to add me if you wish.

  • @MrNiek Even though I'v been through the mill in many ways, I cant even emagin coming up in todays world. Yes, monday I'v got friday on my mind. You live in interesting times.

  • @MrNiek I'm only 10 and I still like this song

  • @MrNiek

I lived in the 60's and I dream i could go back . . Great Times to be a teenager

  • @MrNiek join the club :( boo

  • @MrNiek I know how you feel!

  • @MrNiek Don't do that! You have your own 'parade'

    enjoy it!

The 60's were like every era, some good memories,

but not what it was cracked up to be.

But there is no reason why you can't enjoy

    this great song!!!!!!

  • @MrNiek It was a great time in my life!!

  • @MrNiek Nah. We get to enjoy the good music and retro vibes from the 60s today without all the negative drawbacks of actually being alive in the era. If you were 15 in the 60s, you would be too worried about the draft, social turmoil, etc. to really appreciate it. Of course, I'm not too excited about the age we're currently in... but that's a discussion for another place and time.

  • @voice940 Um, excuse me MrNiek, but you're completely wrong. I was 15 the year this song came out. The 60's was the most creative period in history. It was an incredible time to be alive. Every period of time has it's down side, but not many had the upside that the 60's did creatively and spiritually.

  • @voice940 - Wrong, Voice. I was 15 in 1967, and it was a hell of a more interesting time to come up than the present.

  • @chiron8839 We were BOTH 15 in 1967--junior high, hormones kicked in..and great music like this song. NOOOOOO! I'm gonna be 60 in a few weeks!!

  • @TheClam88 - So we're both in our second Year of the Water Dragon. Congrats . . . .

  • @TheClam88 60 is the new 40.

  • @TheClam88

Yeah turning 50 was like NOOOO for me. But I don't feel any different from 49.

Like triplettam said "60 is the new 40"

  • Angus and Malcoms brother on Rhythm

  • A precious tune...classic pure rock...

  • Australia's gift to the USA in 1967--thanks for the memories!!!

  • I really wish they had the backup vocals turned up in the studio version like they did in the live versions.

  • Some of the BEST MUSIC came from the 60's. Yeah....

  • @Suzy56Q I agree, though I would probably change "some" to "most".

  • @Suzy56Q check the names in the band ,George Young and Harry Vanda . now read AC DC 's line up.

  • what a tune!

  • Rest in Peace, Shane Cross my Hero!

    Smile if you're depressed :)

  • 7 people having always thursday on his mind

  • @7878Roland Now they're even 8, can you believe it? Just 6 more days.....

  • @alibonesDH It's hardly to believe

  • Great song!

  • Early Spring of 1966. 1967 was far better but this song helped make '66 (last year of high school) more bearable.

  • LOVE this song!!!!!!!!

  • Still sounds great in 2011 .

  • @johnhharley48 Music for the ages.

  • @johnhharley48 And will still sound great in 2111.

  • Little Stevie was one of the best rock singers ever.

  • Brilliant!

  • @TravellerFellow 11th commandment

Never Let Working Interfer With Your Beer Drinking

I can swear I never broke that commandment!!!!!

  • @TravellerFellow Hooray for Aussies, love your attitude.

    Don't forget Fosters!!!!!!

  • The Easybeats may considered to be the "Beatles of Australia".

  • australia you talented pieces of shit

  • Good stuff.

  • i can only play it in a stand alone player? fuck you senior il download it and play it in a stand alone ipod.

  • :)

  • Forever, Friday has always been the greatest day of the week!!

  • Vanda and Wright - awesome Aussie legends

  • They were just a flash in the pan.... Wait a minute!!!!

  • Who is Rebecca Black? Didn't even know David Bowie redid this. I had the 45 and thought I was the only left alive who knew the song... :-)

  • This is one of the few songs that I love the original (how can you not??) and the cover that David Bowie did. But that might just be me. Either way best way to start a weekend!

  • Older bro of the Young brothers in AC/DC

  • Angus Young, And Malcoms brother (Y)

  • at school we sung this except it had a dadadadada and all the boys yelled it out and i was right there..... very annoying!

  • Thanks to you amazing samurai, now I want to know who Rebecca Black is. =D

  • FUCK YOU SME I HOPE YOU CHOKE ON YOUR OWN SHIT AND DIE.

  • Greatest tune to have come out of Australia!

  • @phchewie its a good song but that's very untrue, there's plenty of better aussie songs

  • Just an awesome 60's song! One of the better, upbeat songs that fills your heart and mind!

  • Monday, Ive got Friday on my minnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddd

  • ...gunna have fun in the city

    do-do do-do do-do do-do doo... ... fuck yeah.

  • What????????? C'mon duds! U ain't serious! Is this the original song????? Hey if you really want to listen to this song search Transsylvania Phoenix- Friday on my mind!!!!! Compared to what I say, this is the biggest shit I've ever listened!!!!!!!!!

  • who the hell is rebecca black? never heard of her

  • Wonderful!

  • @whirlpool909 I agree completly with you. I'm planning on making a cover of this song, but with an AC/DC twist. Maybe make it 3 or 4 minutes longer with some solos. Classic way AC/DC does covers. Longer, and with solos (Chuck Berry's "School Days" and Big Joe William's "Baby, Please Don't Go") You probably don't give a damn though.

  • i sing this on my way to work every day. 29\m\oh

  • Shane cross! r.i.p

  • I remember listening to this single on my parents old gramophone using 76 RPM and dancing to it. I was 10 or so. What a trance! :-)

  • Thanks for the lyrics on one of my favorite "Down Under" songs:

Friday On My Mind - The Easybeats [Sidney, Australia] - No.16 on 4/22/1967. 8 weeks Top 40 - "AMG pick. HIGHLIGHTED by some CLEVER guitar runs and harmonic shifts." - The Definitive Anthology [Import] (Disc 1)-2003.

NOTE: Starting with its pulse-quickening guitar intro, 'Friday On My Mind' brilliantly re-creates the urgent anticipation of the coming weekend. Rock group formed in Sydney Australia. Steven Wright (vocals). 10/1966.

  • Too bad no one makes music like this anymore :(

  • @Bshelton18 It's almost impossible to imagine this music is not being made. What has happened to make this stop?

  • @DDeDokter Culture I'd suppose. It seems that new artists are just mixing up old classics and making money off them..

  • Just Fantastic.

  • Everybody seems to nag me. For real.

  • Angus came to Australia when he was 7 and Malcolm was 10, Bon Scott was just 6!

This means they spent their most crucial developmental years growing up in Australia. I cam here when i was 7 and as far as i know i'm Australian, i barely remember life before coming here. Johnson and williams are both British but they joined the band way after it was established. Rudds australian and i think quite clearly so is AC/DC

  • @Jagwa3 Fuck posted it on the wrong video haha

  • Even Gene Simmons from "KISS" said in an interview this is one of his favorite songs.

  • who in the wide fucking world of music is rebecca black??? who the fuck is lady gaga for that matter???

  • Now there's a song I haven't heard in years! Thanks so much for bringing back the memories! Have a great weekend!

  • Yeah even my old man looks good? I never had that pleasure. Hey just kidding dad in heaven . One can joke about anything just not about me..OK?

  • This kind of music is so groovy. Even though I was born in the 90's, I still love the 60's music and I wish people would open their eyes to the real music instead of listening to Justin Beiber, Katy Perry, etc.

    Psychedelic Rock all the way!

  • Still sounds great today .

  • @IneesandrockNo, no - wrong! Today shit music is important as well! It helps 2 enjoy this GREAT STUFF of the GREAT ERA.

  • NOW THESE ARE LYRICS.... Rebecca Black needs to learn a thing or 2 about Fridays,,,

  • The lead singer is George Young, Malcolm and Angus AC/DC older brother..........

  • @61finnfinn Wrong! Steve Wright is the lead singer.

  • shane cross-lets liveee

  • These boys got going nearly the same time as the Beatles, and they were cut off from the world in Austrailia, amazing band.

  • @theamazingsamurai Couldn't agree with you more.

  • @theamazingsamurai Couldn't agree with you more.

  • @theamazingsamurai but now everyone's gonna read this and wonder who all those pathetic excuses for musicians are :(

  • @michaellovegrove true, but someone has to say something. im just trying to help others for the future :)

  • @theamazingsamurai Degenerates? Really? You know, if you don't like it, you don't actually HAVE to listen
