@ZorkTheHedgehog Under one of the drop down menus on RNGreporter's main screen, there's a Pokedex. Look up your pokemon in that Pokedex, and it will list which ability is which.

Hey, I have done everything up to the part where you have to copy and paste the seed from the time finder and I am on the Breeding (BW) method. I flipped the Chatot from the Time Finder Target Frame-"Estimated Starting Frame" which was about 47 Flips. I ended up getting a nature that was no where near my target frame and wasn't in sight with the wrong spread. This has happened with me multiple times. My Parameter's are VCount60 VFrame6 Timer0C7C GxStat6 | I'm 100% Sure | What's going on?

@1Stormboy1 The initial frame which sounds like it is 47 for you isn't how many flips you gotta do. Take the frame you want, lets say, 100, then do 100 - 47 = 53. 53 flips to hit your target frame.

What are the ranges for an ARDS and a retail white cartridge? I'm trying to use the seed view code and putting that into the parameter search instead of IVs but no results come up. I set min and max time to 1 and 59, and I'm pretty sure I have the seed codes correctly working for the upper and lower seeds in HEX.

Then I went to go RNG a near flawless shiny Druddigon for someone and I followed the exact steps as how I got my snivy excpet for that fact I didnt use an everstone because the ditto I have is Modest and well now it dosent work! ive tried different frames and different Pokemon but nothing! Hi bearsfan092, I was wondering if you could help me with a problem. I am trying to RNG a shiny Sassy Foongus preferabily with good IVs. I have beed able to get pretty close to my target in my Black game, but it would never hit the exact frame no matter what I tried, either it would be a few above or a few below. Even when the starting frame was suposed to be a shiny I couldn't get it. I have already tryed asking for help on smogon and pokebeach but neither of them has responded.

@wiiman9730 Usually the starting frame is a 1-3 frames higher than the predicted one due to NPC's. Be sure to pause ASAP to minimalize NPC interference.

Can you do this without Chatot, by saving to advance the frame inside the daycare and then exiting and talking to the man straight away? @bearsfan092drums I managed to do it- twice actually. It's just a case of figuring out what frame you're on just as you talk to the day-care man. My seed actually had 3 shiny frames on frames 70, 72 and 74! I kept hitting frame 73 after saving 23 times and talking to the man, and 76 after saving 24 times. To get 74 (desired nature), I just saved 23 times inside the building, walked out, saved again instantly, then talked to the man, and it worked!

I can't seem to get this right. I have followed every guide I can find and I never get anywhere near what I want. I don't know if I'm missing a step or what but I'm near giving up. I spent almost three full days trying to get 1 Pokemon. The only thing I can think of that I did wrong was skip the shiny 4/5 gen egg thing. It wouldn't show anything. So, I went with the capture tab since it gives the breeding option. Is that whats wrong? Or could it be something else?

In the 4th/5th gen shiny egg tab in time finder, when i generate i don't get anything even with the parents iv input. Everything else checks out like ID, SID, year, month, ditto checked, show inheritance checked, breeding type BW and four IVs listed with one blank and other 0. I even had my frame min 50 and max 100 found nothing then min 50 max 1000 and still nothing found. Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong.

You said that if you're doing non-Shiny then you can choose anything as long as it has the desired ability and nature. Do you just need the IVs to be correct too?

I'm just confused as to why the RNG reporter doesn't say anything about what the other IVs are that aren't passed down.

@IntelligentForce You need the IVs too. The blank IV's are received from the current seed and frame. Remember that eggs start on frame 8 of the regular wild pokemon method (which is method 5).

Actually, you can check your SID by uploading a Pokemon to Pokecheck's website. No hacking required although it is a form of GTS abuse.

@RoonHapoon Use the capture tab for non shinies and Shiny Egg for well... shiny eggs. You only need to copy to the main screen for non shinies to find a suitable PID, but it might be useful for shinies in case you miss your PID and want to see what you did hit.

Thanks for responding. But I'm still confused. I am RNG'ing just for shininess. But no matter what i do it isnt shiny. I found my ds parameters. I found a target spread with a frame of 80. I pressed the "Caculate Initial PIDRNG Frame" Button and it said the starting frame was 45. So thats 80 - 45 which is 35. I hit my spread's target time and i press start immediately. I switch the summaries of my two chatots 35 times. Take the egg quickly, hatch it, and it isnt shiny.

What did i do wrong??

@TheMrSkyress For quite a few people, the NPC's will advance by 2,1 or some small amount like that. It happens to me more often than not. Check what PID you did hit and adjust.

So I have been having trouble with this method, specifically with RNGreporter. I was rnging a volcarona and got a seed and missed the PID so it was the wrong nature. I tried again the next day but the program forgot my DS parameters so I redid that part and ever since I have been getting no seeds. All the tabs work except the 4th/5th gen shiny, but when I try the 4th/5th gen shiny I get no results for seeds, no matter how little IV's I specify, how perfect my parents are, how many frames I use.

@densetsu3294 Everything is determined the moment you pick up the egg. That's why it is best to save in front of the guy with the egg ready and then do the rng. Saving after you get the egg/ with the egg in you party will always give you the same results.

@StardustGD If you really can't handle it without inputting parents' IV's, you can go straight to the shiny breeding tab and input a bogus ID/SID. There is no dedicated breeding tab for 5th gen, but it works off of frame 8 for captures. You have to find the inheritances yourself in the main window. You should just look for a capture spread on frame 8.

If you can't find the time then obviously you've never done standard RNGing before and you shouldn't be doing eggs if you've never RNG'd before. Start with something easier like stationaries.
