He is the only stupid and uneducated president on the world .the Iranian people ashamed of to have such this madman as president and now the world knows him
well no doubt about the inteligence of ahmadinejad and the integrity of his speech but this translater is just cant be wors than this . he is slow and not translating axactly what he says .
At last a leader who speaks his mind. Hidden history is being exposed daily thanks to the world wide web. The holohoax has to be kept alive to keep false sympathy alive for the rogue state of Ezrahell! In the meantime the truth of the real holocausts committed all over the world are suppressed. This is EVIL and Dr. Ahmadinejad is an extremely brave man to voice the TRUTH! Palestinians have been to hell and back in their own land. It's time for truth seekers to STOP this genocide!
All this man says is about peace and justice, Why always demonise him? He never threatened any country or anybody. Why nobody questions American and Israeli leaders who everyday are threatening Iran with nuclear attack?
ONE HUNDRED NINETY MILLION DIED IN WWII. WHY WHEN SIX MILLION DIE IN WORK CAMPS AT THE END OF THE WAR IS IT CALLED HOLOCAUST? MY DICTIONARY SAYS ~ 1. A burnt sacrifice; an offering, the whole of which was consumed by fire, among the Jews and some pagan nations. Milton. THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. MASSACRE, HATE CRIME, HITLER NEVER OFFERED A BURT SACRIFICE. HIM MILITARY DICTATOR. AND MADE WAR, I WASN'T BORN YET. FILM SHOW USA AIR SUPERIORITY. NO FOOD GOT THROUGH TO ANYONE. AND WE WON.

I agree the holocaust did happen, as to its extent and damage i dont think anyone will ever know except those who lived it. But that should not give the Jews the right to exagerate to gain sympathy. Assyrians suffered countless genocides by Turks and Kurds in the early 1900s but noone mentions it and Assyrians remain a people without a nation.
Ahmadinejad is a genius who is what this new era needs. He's a fucking hero and the west is scared of him thats why they lie and distort his words. Anyone against that is just a media-puppet.
so ahmad is not bringing the holocaust in to question just `raising questions` if you can`t see the deception in this man than you enable the present and future suffering he causes.
evil triumphs and the genocides continue because good men shrugged their shoulders and did nothing. NEVER AGAIN!
The iranian president deserves his say amidst harsh criticism from the hypocric west and its allies.Iran deserves nuclear energy to cut off carbon emmissions and increase oil output to lower prices!
This is a road to an improved economy that the west fears!!
And Hitler as well as Theodor Herzl who founded zionism and declared war on jews was not a dictator, everything you hypocrites say about others deeply spells your identity, your ANTISEMITIC!!
It is amusing to see how every NATO-Presstitute (French, US or Britzie) interviewing Iran's President throws up the same twisted pentagon propaganda in verbatim copy, with the same pathetic results each time as the fools are beat down and humiliated.
It is shameful that France has sank to this level, misrepresented by mindslaves publicly slurping Yankee schlongster.
seems to me hes a nice man.Dont want any confrontations ,promote democracy and freedom .What else he need to do to ? Iran is a democratic state .Let them decide who is good and who is bad for the Iranian people to be a president!I think this man is a good bloke.
wow i thought the irani president was supposed to be bad :P he is actually quite good and logical i dont understand what the problem is...im an american...its typical of us to place blame for no good reason i guess
lol... the ending of that was so funny. Ahmad says the Americans are hated as are the Europeans and the next thing you hear is Join us for a new edition of Talk of paris... classic :D
for far too many these days, to be a jew, particularly in the US, is to be moved by the holocaust..this leads to people acting like nazis to prevent Nazism.dangerous and ludicrous. Hitler used the media to brainwash everyone, as soon as everyone accepts that the media is better than anyone else's view, or more revealing than any other source, then that will only lead to tyranny.AND HAS.
There is an issue of proved responsible behavior when refering to nuclear capability. Irans actions over the last 30 years don't speak of this. Someone has to be the overseer and the US is the only one in todays world but the Bush admin does not have the insight or wisdom to deliver this kind of problem solving attitude. In addition it does not lead by example which diminishes its credibility unfortunately
Although, I totally agree that there is a need for there to be a body in the global community that enforces certain accepted standards, I disagree that the US can play such a role. It has lost much of its credibility, and as far as non-proliferation goes they have the worst record. Before two weeks, there was comments from the administration indicating an upgrade to next generation nuclear weapons.
The body needs to be an international, independent body and should not only play a restrictory role, but should in its role clearly aim to bridge the gap between the industrialised nations and the third world nations. It should also ensure that the rights of nations are respected and given, this is the pivot basis of international bodies. During the tenure of Pres. Ford, the Iranian nuclear programme was supported heavily by the US, whilst a tyrant dictator was in power.
Apologies Justyburger for deleting your comment, accidental. If I can summarise it, Justyburger had raised the issue of the hostage crisis of the British sailors and the reaction that sprung in Lebanon, where there were reports some protestors threw rocks at the British consulate. There was then the point on whether these reactions surmised the public view in Iran.
Justburger, I hope I did relative justice to your comment - seeing that I do not share your eloquence in delivery.
I don't know if you watched the Channel 4 interview that Jon Snow had with Ali Larijani last night. What Jon Snow managed to get out of him, in terms of final agreements as to the hostages, in those 10 or so minutes was greater than the current government altogether - that says a lot! - I'll try and upload the video soon, may be we should vouch for Jon Snow as the next PM.
As for the crowd, I don't think it is a measure of the public. If you remember the Danish row, the public went and dropped flowers at the consulate - it might all be part of a wider media game. Although, I do not rule out the sense of vulnerability and opposition to Western hegemony, in the region, as possible causes for the reaction - but again that can only be dealt with politically and over a period of time, given the deep historical grievances.
I read a book by Morris Berman recently called "Dark Ages America" its a rather sad account of the moral decline and political framework in the US. It opened my eyes quite a bit. There are many sensitive issues and the US seems to use brute force to solve these. Not the smartest way. Bush's language is incredibly simple. At least Clinton could articulate well.
i wouldn't have a clue about translation problems unfortunately. The Iranian president seems quite a smart guy and quite reasonable although it could be a front for the interview. I guess usually there are hidden agendas. This hostage crisis is a bit of a worry and does not seem a wise move when the US does not need a huge excuse to curtail unleashing weapons like rain drops.
There are always agendas in politics and to be honest, anyone in the position of Ahmadinejad, in light of - 1) the nature of Bush and his practices 2) the increasing pressure that the US is exerting on Iran from kidnappings to working on deploying carriers - would want to flex his muscles and be heard. There are always two sides to the story, but I think the political game in the US-Iran confrontation is largely dictated by the history between them.
The translation is shabby, whether the omissions were mad knowingly or not, I don't think we can judge. To be fair to France 24, they have given Ahmadinejad a platform from which he can reach out and have a once in a year chance. I also believe there is enough info, even through the shabby translation, to make out the reasoning and mentality of the person.
