@y2kjorgeavila Thanks for the comment. yes, there are a few things I could have done differently, but hey, this is how we learn huh :-)
Nope, it wouldn't have been cheaper to buy one, I had the parts, all it cost was my time.. and there's a certain satisfaction to making your own tools..
@weecolski Well done man :-) good idea with 15mm steel, I agree that is a better choice, I only had 10 mm alloy plate at the time, and it flexes a little.. Pleased for you :-) Si
Simple and effective indeed.... Thanks for the tips.
Great Job!!!

Ok good work. But it does not look stable needs some more safety so the spring wont shoot out. wouldn't be cheaper to buy a spring compressor.

They're formers for a hydraulic pipe bender.. used for round tube, i use them for bending framework, & roll cages.

Why would you laugh at someone else's misfortune? tsk tsk there's an arsehole born every minute.. Now run along and make something of your own.

lmao if the top plate comes of and hit him in his face

Yes, you're right, the top was 10mm aluminium, but did bow, I replaced it afterwards with a braced mild steel plate.
Well spotted though, and thanks for taking the time to comment.

Nice tool but the top plate is bending. It could fail. I'd use some 1/2" or 1/4" wall thickens for a T or U steel profile.
