in the 80s much like the 60s all the artists put on a great show for the watching public , that lil jump to the side that everyone does to the beat is a really nice touch and adds to the performance - just does happen as much these days i feel
Jellybean is one of my favourite characters from the 90s...God do i miss all those 80s and 90s tunes....Those were the best years of my life... Regards to all reading this and hope you have great memories as i do..
@steelerdave2000 yossole has a lot of truth in his comment! produced by reggie lucas...she didnt like the end result so had her bf Jellybean Benetiz help, so with that came holiday, borderline and lucky star...don't forget the song 'everybody' he also had a hand there thats how he met madge... now saying he had NOTHING to do with her becoming huge mite be a lil stretch... come on he was her man at the time...wouldnt YOU want to help your gf?
@yossole Don't forget - Madonna's album was PRODUCED by Nile Rogers from ' CHIC '. Just like Janet Jackson having her album produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis of 'THE TIME'. Jellybean had almost nothing to do with Madonna becoming huge.
@steelerdave2000 not true...madonnas first hit was holiday, jellybean opened many doors for her with his name, style and reputation alone. he was huge in the club scene.one other thing...madonna was never famous for giving props to anyone...that bitch tok whatever was there to steal from, from dietrich to monroe, from vogueing to watley...i guess that is part of her success story
I remember sitting on the couch on a saturday night while my mom was ironing clothes....this came up on tv and I liked it instantly. I think the year was fall 85-spring86.
What a real feel good song that is, i really believe she was singing live, and sounded superb, they seemed to disappear after this which was a pity, as she looked lovely and had a great voice, thank you for posting q6mt47q

The co-ordinated dance moves and rythmic hopping combo were obviously too much for the backing singers.

This song reminds me of getting my Christmas school holidays in 87. Good times and a cheerful song.

First watched this in 87 as a startled 14 year old.
Elisa was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen at the time. In fact I still woudn't say 'no' today!

this was out 22 years go late 1987.
these songs make me remember where i was and what i was doing and where i was working. it was a cold winter when this was out.
1980s were great. the music was good and didn't have any of that ugly faces and styles that hip hop brought.
