@elparcero1220 - Also, I used to working in maintenance logistics for UNITED. Getting parts from Airbus in France was a pain in the butt. It took almost 12-14 days with all the customs stuff. Where if I needed a non-stock part from Boeing, I could just order it from them and I'd get it to SFO in 4-6 hrs as it just came in from SEA. So you can say I'm a little bias towards BOEING. My cousin is a commercial pilot in Europe and he prefers a Boeing 737 vs the Airbus A310. Take care.
@elparcero1220 - I see you are a fan of Airbus...no problem. You have every right to support your belief. However, Airbus is not my favorite aircraft for many reasons. Just look at the this video, and 2 Air France videos...the Airbus A330 from Brazil to France AF447 where a poor design in the pitot tubes caused a nose dive due to ice and the Airbus A320 AF296 in which the computer took over and kept the aircraft at 30 ft altitude and it crashed into trees. I just don't feel safe on them.
Its gotta be BOEING, or I'm NOT GOING! Airbus aircraft in my opinion are sub-par compared to Boeing. My dad was in the Azores at the airport when this Air-Transat Airbus 330 landed. He said it was one of the scariest sounds he could ever hear from a aircraft landing. Unexplainable mistake by Air Transat maintenance.
@benficamike1977 Tell that to the families of the victims of TWA 800 (a Boeing 747) and other relatives lost on Boeing planes... Both Airbus and Boeing make good planes, so that all Boeing Better than Airbus ans vice versa B.S.. It's just that B.S....

I always ask what aircraft type when buying tickets. I don't trust Airbus. Too many computers that can foul up and cause a perfectly good airframe to crash.
Not quite...Boeing and McDougal-Douglas are earlier in the airline business, and they pay the price for many early flight accidents. And now it's starting to level off as many of the early Boeing, MD, Tupolev crashes led to better design and maintenance procedures.
Tupolevs and others have a much lesser safety record compared to Boeing/Airbus, as both their design isn't top-notch, and very often these planes are stretched beyond what they're designed to do.
These documentaries are sad to watch, but they are also so addicting.

I find it really odd how I'm flying a A330-200 on x-plane while watching this.

The crash in Tripoli was due to piloterror, not softwareproblems.

@stratofrede This is what the media screams... I don;t believe it

Airbus has very nasty software problems on A330 model, now another crash in tripoli. That's what they are hiding.

@barthoedemaker The crash in Tripoli was duo to pilot error.

actually, airbus are considered the safest planes in the world over Boeing, Tupolev and other small companies.
Boeing are cheaper, less safe to fly and are more widely used because the company can make planes faster than airbus.
but both are the safest airplanes to fly in the world. in fact all airplanes are safe to fly.
its how well airplanes are maintained and how well trained pilots are for unexpected failures.
so don't blame the plane, its the airline.
takes a lot of abuse to down a jet

Why would they decline to be interviewed ? Given that this may make air travel safer.

I believe he declined to be interviewed for this program, not by the investigators though.
