One problem with nutmeg as a psychedelic is that its potency fades the longer it's kept. This happens even more quickly once it's ground. So that can of ground nutmeg that's been sitting in you kitchen cabinet for the last four Thanksgivings? Fuggedaboudit. Even whole nutmegs loses strength over time.

The way I use it is that I buy whole nutmegs and use within a few weeks. I simply pop one into my mouth and chew it up, swallow with a bit of lemonade (helps with the taste), and wait for the fun to begin. It takes several hours to kick in.

Some people really can't stand the taste, and so they grind it and put in in gelatin capsules and take it that way. Most people who have bad experiences simply take too much, so be careful. Also, frequent use can damage the liver, so don't do it often.

Not really a cannabis alternative. Now I only have 1.5/10 experience with pot because I tried it and it didn't do shit to me because it was the first time and on top I have ADD and develop tolerance faster than a mother fucker.
