  • im taking my lessons now flying with dorval aviation, its the furthest building to the left at the end of the video! nice landing right down the line.

  • Congrats on going for your wings. Remember to keep it fun and don't let Aviation run your life. It's a great time to get into the business. Safe flying.

  • i'm now 12 and i want to become a pilot. how long does it take to complete the school for commercial license and how do i build up my expericence hours after school

  • Well written for being 12. I'm not sure where you are from but I always tell people your age to get involved with Air Cadets or find a local gliding club. You can start even before you drive a car. It took me about 2 school years to complete my commercial licence and about 6 years to get a real commercial flying job. Most pilots will become instructors after they get their licences and do that for a year perhaps two before moving on.

  • If you live in the north, flying in the bush is even better as far as im concerned. Those are the most common ways to build experience. There is also photography/Survey flying jobs and parachute jump schools that employ pilots. Oh I almost forgot.. expect to work long hours away from home, don't plan anything, stay single and work for nothing for the first 10 years at least!

  • A little bit low??

  • You do what you gotta do when VFR and exiting on the first possible taxi way. Gets the passengers off 6 minutes faster.

  • Yes you're right, I remember once my brother on a YAK-40 made a short landing using reverse on short final approach at MUBY (BAYAMO)RWY 25 turning left on first taxi way.... one pax standing up said -este piloto es un "caballo"!!.... -this pilot is a "horse"... this expression means is the best

    thanks for reply

  • The regs say a turbine aircraft is not to descend below the vasi or glidepath until necessary for a normal landing. VFR or not, you are not supposed to 'drag it in' like that.

  • Didn't see the vasi and the glidpath was giving erroneous indications flucatuating due to local interferance of some sort I think a cell phone or sun spots caused it.. A normal VFR landing was achieved safely, and after a short taxi the crew debreifed as per the Safety management plan.

  • OK...i'll buy that.

  • "Glide Slope Glide Slope"
