In fact COD:MW2 has by far the best multiplayer of all COD games, becuase it's much more lethal (you get killed much easier than in COD:MW1). Running & Gunning is actually brought down a tad in MW2 multiplayer. That's one thing i really like about it.
This game is great, and so is COD: MW2 (especially multiplayer!). COD is unrealistic, but still fun. THis is much, much more like the real thing though.

Alot of people haven't played the first OFP and ArmA... like the guy said you can't be John Rambo... it's more then that. Tactics on an insanely large scale. ESP if you make your own mission which is a easy.

The AI is made to understand and perform military tactics that are exactly the same as in real life, so they will act as soldiers of flesh and blood: IF you give them the right tactics.
Only most people still don't get it's a War SIMULATION(tactical shooting) not a normal Fps(action)

Just don't understand why no one has adapted the full spectrum warrior squad movements..What you see here is AI standing in front of each other and moving out in the open when every they like! When the guy was pinned down at the tree, the AI guy just walked in front of him! That's just dumb!
You'd use certain formations for different terrain, you have multiple squads attacking or supporting or waiting in reserve. You'd sooner mortar / artillery those positions or air strike them then RUN across open ground.
Or if you are - you'd split into fire teams, suppress with one - move and flank with the other - The army is structured this way from basic fire team movement to Battle Group movement! You'd never have this gay standing out in the open and every man doing his best to stay alive!
love the effort in getting realistic graphics and authentic sounds and weapons. Fundamental errors in all these games, is there not realistic!! Angers me when they say the US marines say it's realistic! You'd never get 4 guys running up to multi-enemy positions and taking them all out like their part of some ultimate force! Picking up weapons they've never even handled or used before!
If you know the where abouts of enemy positions, you don't just run at them like a 1800's battle charge ffs!
In response to your 3 flamitory comments, I just want to say that non-scripted AI is always stupid. It might mask the stupidity varying from game to game, but still, it's usually dumb. Also, 90% of people don't know anything about military tactics or such. So really, it doesn't matter to the majority of the gaming community. I understand your frustration, as I am frustrated at the fact that you have no legs and all reloads are dry in this game. This is why I still claim America's Army 3 best.
what would be cool, is a "adrenaline level" so if your shot or in more action you move faster and reload faster, but, you have more chance of tripping and jaming your weapon.

I got this game a few days ago for PC. It is really good if you like these types of games. The multiplayer however is not working at the moment because of login server issues, but the little I have played online so far was a lot of fun.
Before I say this I just want to say I'm not talking about any game in particular.
I really don't understand the obsession of realism in games, especially war games. I mean why play a game if it's just like real life? You might as well do it in real life. It's impossible to make a realistic war game unless you made it so you walk around for days on end then get in a fire fight for like 1 hour and the first time you die, the game breaks and becomes useless.
I understand your point of view, I suppose there are those out there that cant do this in real life (because of physical ability, criminal background, kids, family situation etc.) and this is their way taking out stress...by shooting those that are trying to kill you, not everybody can go play laser tag or paint ball, but your right if it WAS real it would be lights out first mistake, med kits or "redo's" but it still can be a fun stress relief, practice or warm up for the real thing..
Never even heard of this game till I saw the commercial on Spike tv. Glad I did. I used to play AA on pc and the original x-box and the "new one" for the 360 just blew. I thought I found a better game in COD4 MW and have been waiting for MW2 to come out. Sorry IW but this game has what Im looking for, realism! COD=bullet sponges! Damn I hate that shit! Oh dear god. PC pirating is so much easier; download the game, install the crack. NDS/PSP is so much more complex, you must flash the OS and then install, so PC pirating is so much more common. Also, have you read about the number of NDS being sold? I guess not. There are so many that pirating has a minimal effect on sales. PC games are about half the cost as they are Ported from console MS dev kits. Believe what you want, I know it's the truth. PC fanboy.
ArmA 2 is just awesome! I don't get why so many people don't like it. Okay, it's not a simply first person shooter but it had to become a "war simulator" and that's what it is now. It's a little bit bug infested but it's a lot of fun anyway.

ArmA 2 gives me just the feeling which i had over eight years ago, when i started playing OFP and i still play it nearly each week, just because there's no alternative game available. ArmA 1 is good but not as good as OFP or Arma2.
Of course ArmA2 could be better but nobody/nothing is perfect and there is a very active community. And the mission editor is a great thing.
Yeah, you can even play through the single player campaign in coop and if you plan on getting the PC version there will likely be endless amounts of user made missions and campaigns like the first one. The game comes with a level editor on PC and an SDK is being released, we just have to wait for it.

This Game is great! I bought it yesterday. You have to use commands and covers its very realistic. And the weapon details are awesome. Dont listen to jeff72496 hes too stupid to play the game! :D (Sry 4 my english ;P)

In fact COD:MW2 has by far the best multiplayer of all COD games, becuase it's much more lethal (you get killed much easier than in COD:MW1). Running & Gunning is actually brought down a tad in MW2 multiplayer. That's one thing i really like about it.

i am very well aware of the tactical shooter genre as i like tactical shooters over games like COD, it is just that people dont get the fact that almost every shooter has ripped off of COD some way although operation flashpoint seems to stay original, this game interested me so much :P but was kinda a let down though

by the way modern warfare isnt a cliche of every shooter, every shooter is a cliche of modern warfare, ModWar is so popular becuz it was the game that started how shooters in the last years have been designed, now the game seems old becuz everyone copies off of call of duty, by the way i think operation flashpoint is kinda lacking , i prefer rainbow six or ghost recon for a tact shooter

Just don't understand why no one has adapted the full spectrum warrior squad movements..What you see here is AI standing in front of each other and moving out in the open when every they like! When the guy was pinned down at the tree, the AI guy just walked in front of him! That's just dumb!

You'd use certain formations for different terrain, you have multiple squads attacking or supporting or waiting in reserve. You'd sooner mortar / artillery those positions or air strike them then RUN across open ground.
Or if you are - you'd split into fire teams, suppress with one - move and flank with the other - The army is structured this way from basic fire team movement to Battle Group movement! You'd never have this gay standing out in the open and every man doing his best to stay alive!

love the effort in getting realistic graphics and authentic sounds and weapons. Fundamental errors in all these games, is there not realistic!! Angers me when they say the US marines say it's realistic! You'd never get 4 guys running up to multi-enemy positions and taking them all out like their part of some ultimate force! Picking up weapons they've never even handled or used before!
If you know the where abouts of enemy positions, you don't just run at them like a 1800's battle charge ffs!

In response to your 3 flamitory comments, I just want to say that non-scripted AI is always stupid. It might mask the stupidity varying from game to game, but still, it's usually dumb. Also, 90% of people don't know anything about military tactics or such. So really, it doesn't matter to the majority of the gaming community. I understand your frustration, as I am frustrated at the fact that you have no legs and all reloads are dry in this game. This is why I still claim America's Army 3 best.

what would be cool, is a "adrenaline level" so if your shot or in more action you move faster and reload faster, but, you have more chance of tripping and jaming your weapon.

I got this game a few days ago for PC. It is really good if you like these types of games. The multiplayer however is not working at the moment because of login server issues, but the little I have played online so far was a lot of fun.

Before I say this I just want to say I'm not talking about any game in particular.
I really don't understand the obsession of realism in games, especially war games. I mean why play a game if it's just like real life? You might as well do it in real life. It's impossible to make a realistic war game unless you made it so you walk around for days on end then get in a fire fight for like 1 hour and the first time you die, the game breaks and becomes useless.

I understand your point of view, I suppose there are those out there that cant do this in real life (because of physical ability, criminal background, kids, family situation etc.) and this is their way taking out stress...by shooting those that are trying to kill you, not everybody can go play laser tag or paint ball, but your right if it WAS real it would be lights out first mistake, med kits or "redo's" but it still can be a fun stress relief, practice or warm up for the real thing..

Never even heard of this game till I saw the commercial on Spike tv. Glad I did. I used to play AA on pc and the original x-box and the "new one" for the 360 just blew. I thought I found a better game in COD4 MW and have been waiting for MW2 to come out. Sorry IW but this game has what Im looking for, realism! COD=bullet sponges! Damn I hate that shit! Thank you Codemasters for taking the time to listen to the fps community and giving us a great game!

He doesnt compare them at all. He refers to the piracy on a few platforms including NDS as being as big or bigger than piracy on PC and how that piracy doesnt seem to effect the sales. I think he has a good point. If you expect us to believe your a programmer when you cant even understand that single post then your wrong. PC games ARE cheaper because of the way they retail as well as licencing & manufacturing fees. PC games are about half the cost of console games to develop and manufacture for.

Oh dear god. PC pirating is so much easier; download the game, install the crack. NDS/PSP is so much more complex, you must flash the OS and then install, so PC pirating is so much more common. Also, have you read about the number of NDS being sold? I guess not. There are so many that pirating has a minimal effect on sales. PC games are about half the cost as they are Ported from console MS dev kits. Believe what you want, I know it's the truth. PC fanboy.

ArmA 2 is just awesome! I don't get why so many people don't like it. Okay, it's not a simply first person shooter but it had to become a "war simulator" and that's what it is now. It's a little bit bug infested but it's a lot of fun anyway.
OFP2DR is just a simple first person shooter like Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. It's just not Operation Flashpoint anymore. Very sad...

ArmA 2 gives me just the feeling which i had over eight years ago, when i started playing OFP and i still play it nearly each week, just because there's no alternative game available. ArmA 1 is good but not as good as OFP or Arma2.
Of course ArmA2 could be better but nobody/nothing is perfect and there is a very active community. And the mission editor is a great thing.

Yeah, you can even play through the single player campaign in coop and if you plan on getting the PC version there will likely be endless amounts of user made missions and campaigns like the first one. The game comes with a level editor on PC and an SDK is being released, we just have to wait for it.

This looks like a fantastic game, much more polished than Arma II and it looks a bit like a realistic version of the Battlefield series. I think I'll pick it up to tide me over until MW2.

This Game is great! I bought it yesterday. You have to use commands and covers its very realistic. And the weapon details are awesome. Dont listen to jeff72496 hes too stupid to play the game! :D (Sry 4 my english ;P)
