We had a neighbor who was a stuntman for Richard Boone. He told my family that Boone was deathly afraid of horses. However, whenever I closely watch an old episode, he seems to be perfectly content on a horse. Who knows?
@garycooper1000 You may be right, however, it was the close ups that surprised me. His face remained calm, almost bored, unlike someone like me who eyes would have looked like saucers. Anyway it's fun to discuss these things, especially these old shows which I so enjoyed as a kid. Wonder if I can find anything on The Rebel with Nick Adams.
@tenniscollector TJ by Duane Eddy went up 2 months ago! It's on my DE list of over 40 songs. My channel is 700 playlists arranged to share with all. to museack: sometimes--there are people that are close relatives--that don't resemble one another.....but a for me; i CAN see a bit of a resemblance; Pat Boone's features are not that delicate; has a little roughness to them; like his cousin Richard; whom has been described as having" a magnificiently ruined " face. Richard's face was quite interesting; whereas his cousin Pat was what one would call handsome......
The TV show is on DVD and available streaming on Netflix. A half-hour show with less than 5 minutes for commercials. Some of the best writers and actors of the time.
How many of you know that Richard Boone (Paladin) was a direct descendent of Daniel Boone and a cousin of singer Pat Boone!! I sure miss that show and those halcyon days!!! We will never see anything like that again and our kids really missed out unless they find reruns or on DVD!!!! Ten stars for posting this!!!
@BigDuckKetterer if you get direct tv, and have encore. hgwt aires monday through fri at 4:30 pm. on the western channel. right after wagon train, with ward bond. and before gun smoke. hope you can see it. also it is on you tube. when you are on listening to music instead of requesting a song, ask for have gun will travel eposodes. and you will surely find it. please enjoy
Wire Paladin San Francisco. How well I remember the show and Duane Eddy's guitar!!! I guess that gives my age away way to go and thanks whoever posted this. It sure brought back some good memories!!! 10 Stars!!!
How many out there know that Duane was in an episode of Paladin? It was the (or a ) Christmas episode where he plays the Joseph part in a Joseph and Mary related script. True tear worthy television -
I don't remember the Joseph and Mary segment, but I do recall Duane trying to hold off a woman who wanted to slug him with her fists, and Paladin sitting there laughing.
Wow- he must have been in *two* (count 'em, 2) episodes then-The Joseph and Mary episode aired around Christmas (duh), but was an interesting take on the real deal on the divine birth.
Showing my age here. I remember this coming out, bought the single the first day and remember Richard Boone as the man in black (Paladin) in the TV series.
If you like this song by Duane Eddy...watch for his all new CD called "Artifacts Of Twang". Brian Setzer, Phil Everly and Griffen House join Duane on this release.

@jo47dy Richard Boone seems perfectly content on the horse because it's the stuntman riding the horse.
