  • wait wait wait, isnt David Lettermen the one that requested to take Bills skit off tv, now hes some sort of big fan of him. Fucking big lipped ugly motherfucker.

  • @BigBoomRobot he appologied for that

  • @IdleHands99 Well, those bands are okay, but not REALLY good. 4 non blondes had one album, with 3 good songs, doesnt really qualify. Marilyn manson are good, pantera and tool as well. but the rest are mediocre.

Im not saying all bands of the 90's sucked, but more than now, the 80's kind of sucked too. All im saying is that i think the scene is getting better now, because more indie bands are getting up, since its so easy to make your ownm usic now, like in the 70s.

  • the only thing i don't like in him was the noises..the content was good, but I don't like the noise part...

  • @MrMtube87 When he yelled? about new kids on the block being fascists of the music industry suckers of satan's cock? I think it really portrays the anger he felt towards the music industry, and it really was a valid reaction, it show that Bill Hicks really was serious about this point.

  • Spirit quests!!!!

  • why is it letterman and leno make me wanna puke my guts out?

  • All this clarity before age 33.

  • I love his satan noises for the newkids_FUCK THAT I WANT MY ROCKSTARS DEAD!!!

  • Was Bill Nitzche's Uebermensch?

  • Comment removed

  • pretty sure he was friends with leno and he definitely liked letterman.

  • leno and letterman...? you're kidding me,

  • @OwnedRL

Leno WAS funny, Mr. Letterman . . . . just sarcastic.

  • thumbs up if u skip jay lenos part

  • Jay Leno is the king of mediocrity and playing it safe in comedy. And both Leno and Letterman are comedians and politicians, which is why they're have primetime shows. Why would we care about their opinions on Bill?

  • Did Jay not hear the bit of Bill ripping him apart? No clue who let him be included in this documentary

  • @Soupie606 In the documentary, Bill Hicks: American, Bill's comic friends give Leno credit for helping Bill get on television on Letterman. So as much as Bill mocked and belittled Leno, the man helped Bill with his career.

  • "I am available for children's parties by the way" LMAO

  • "You! C'mere! What's your name baby? No, it's over! WOOOH!"

LOLLLLL i nearly pissed myself! hahahahahaha

  • @Slicc7 completely agree, im irish and rarely see anything leno related thank fuck! Seriously leno is polar opposite of hicks, leno sold out and wishes he had a tenth of hicks venomous talent. People love someone who smiles while spoon feeding bullshit, hence there are leno's in the world and sadly no shortage of hunger.

  • I want to regret nothing in life, but there is one thing I will always regret, and that's not being able to meet this modern fucking MESSIAH in the flesh; what he said twenty years ago is relevant today. He cracks me up like no other, and his total disregard for what other people thought of him meant he was no doubt one of the few truly free people in our history as a species. But that's just my opinion. Where's Tom with the weather?

  • alex jones = bill hicks bill hicks = alex jones

  • @HL2 That is incredibly offensive to Hick's, Alex Jones is a fear-mongering moron with no credibility apart from the thousands of spotty teenagers with inferiority complexes that adore him.

  • @ISISbandLive If you watch both Alex Jones's and Bill Hicks's mannerisms, facial expressions, and sometimes even vocal intonations with cold impartiality, you'll see some uncanny resemblances.

  • @Flugabwehrkanone Sorry, I wasn't referring to physical similarities. I agree that there are some, but there outlooks on life are/were different.

  • @ISISbandLive I am saying that Bill Hicks faked his death to use hardcore method acting to play his character "Alex Jones," a combination of himself and the Southern hillbillies he always talks about. He has a love/hate relationship with the South, after all.

  • Jay Leno is in this documentary/commentary on Bill' career because, regardless of how their relationship ended - and the total jackass Jay turned into - he was someone Bill Hicks looked up to. The impact Jay had on Bill's career - especially his early development and the later ratification of Bill's hatred towards corporate comedy - it would havve been a greater insult for Jay not to speak.

Remember, Bill hated Jay in a "my mentor failed me" way, not in a "oh, lets hat that asshole".

  • Can't watch any more. Just not funny to me. Don't you find his material really obvious?

  • @zenzombie72 Who would you prefer? It's a message not humor so much

  • @lebiew Not sure. I feel a bit guilty saying what I said, as humour is such a personal thing. Given that his 'comic genius' label isn't really worth the debate, I'd still like to find a clip of him that makes me laugh.

  • @zenzombie72

How can you not find him funny? He was a fucking genius.

  • @lurycio I wish I knew. Is there not some so-called comic legend that YOU can't see what all the fuss is about? I'd be interested to know. I'm not over-analizing comedy, but I think there's something to be learned.

  • @zenzombie72

Yes but they aren't Bill Hicks, there's a difference.

  • @lurycio LOL. OK, I'll leave it there.

  • bill would really hate the music industry now

  • @hershysquirts187 I think the music industry has improved since the 90's so i don't know about that.

  • @Mika151 if you think that you are blind. there is no substace in popular music. it makes me sick. but if your happy with your jonas brothers cd. more power to ya.

  • @hershysquirts187 No, but take a look at the 90s, we had backstreet boys, britney spears, aqua, metallica (who sucked in the 90s) and so on, it was worse. The indiescene today is better than the popscene was in the 90s, with bands like The knife and Crystal castles. Dude im not saying the music scene is good now, but its getting better, and there are some great bands around. The best time for music was the 60s with bands like The Doors, Creedence, Dylan, Jefferson airplane, hendrix, stones.

  • @Mika151 all these bands you speak of will never get backed by a big music company. no big wig will take a chance on new different bands. you can find great music in the underground and the internet. the music industry is going down for that reason. but as far as mainstream music companys backing bands as great as the doors or creedence. probely not gunna happen. not to say thoes bands are not out there. its just the big wigs wont take a chance.

  • @hershysquirts187 Im not saying the Music industry is good, cause its not. its filled with suckers of satans cock, but what i said is that there are better music now THAN in the 90s. face it, the 90s sucked candy-ass.

  • Jay leno fucking ruins this movie entirely.

  • and dont even get me started on Letterman....establishment media whore

  • OH JAY LENO.....FUCK RIGHT OFF!!!

  • it's a little cop look at him

  • That was the genius of Bill. He could go off on an insane diatribe like the one about the New Kids, then put it all back into perspective with the "I do children's parties" line.

  • Mushrooms is the best drug i have ever done, and it has made me a better person!

  • letterman and leno? fuck off you corporate cunts this is a bill memorial documentary, no one wants to see either of you.

  • "play from your fucking HEEEAAAART" is beautiful and it sums up Bill Hicks wonderfully...

  • There will be fucking in the streets when the cure for AIDS comes along!! Amen to that!! Sign me up for that!! I'd get in on it too...

  • How Does he drive that big fuckin car?

  • I know it's hard to believe, but Jay Leno was a talented comedian at one point. He gave that up to be an unfunny corporate douche when he got the tonight show

  • letterman fucked Bill Hicks on one of his last performance

  • we miss you bill

  • "Ladies, you'd be in the room alone right now......watching an empty stage" Fucking brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • was bill into david icke's shit, anyone?

  • @KDaddyDins Terence Mckenna

  • Letterman and Leno suck. They know nothing about Bill.

  • Here's politics in America.... "I think the puppet on the left share my beliefs." "I think the puppet on the right is more to my liking." [knowing documented knowledge, Bill looks up] Oh wait, there's one guy holding up both puppets! AAAAHH! "SHUT UP! Go back to bed America, your government is in control... Here's Love Connection, watch this and get fat and stupid. By the way, keep drinking beer you fucking morons!"

  • When Bill was inpersinating his mom he sounded like the care taker off of Scary Movie 2 :D haha

  • @Ballerboi17171234 LMAO!!!!! I was trying to figure out who it was that he sounded like! Don't tell me Chris Elliott stole from Bill too! :)

  • @Ballerboi17171234 Take mah strong hand!

  • Leno and Letterman? Fuck they might as well Donnie Wahlberg in there.

  • Hicks lambasted Leno regularly for being the unfunny corporate shill that he is, and Letterman censored his act. So why should we give a fuck what they thought about him?

  • Bill Hicks is a true legend. Someone who should be looked up to. Intellegent funny and free minded. RIP

  • @camel091

are you talking about the pro life thing, that got censored. or did letterman actually hit bill?

  • right after jay leno talked, there should have been a clip from the bit Bill did about him. that would be hilarious.

  • Why the fuck are Jay Leno and Letterman on here?

  • They really should edit f*cking Letterman out

  • leno is still injured by hicks bit about him

  • Jay Leno teaching comedy. Now that's the real joke

  • Jay 'Doritos' Leno!

  • Thanks ma'!

    No biggie

  • God is a selfish bitch

  • At 5:09 when he says Phish is he talking bout the band. Like he got pulled over blasting Phish tunes?

  • @WolfmansBrother321 no. if you actually watch the special that joke is from, which is on youtube in 8 parts, hes referencing a joke about 1 minute earlier in which he says he thinks hes turning into a fish from lsd.

  • FUCK THAT I WANT MY ROCKSTARS DEAD

  • Leno and Letterman on there discussing him? Are you fucking serious he hated them both! Making themselves look good.

  • from 2:24 till 3:44 is THE MOST POWERFULL EMOTIONAL performance ever!

I don't belive in GOD but i think Bill Hicks was the second comming of JESUS.i really do,serious. He pointer at our mistakes and blind eyes, that people became like animals and forgot the clarity and freadom of life. A true preacher, died young. he is either the most OPEN minded person on earth or a JESUS. 1 of 2.

  • "I am available for children's parties, by the way."

Cracks me up every time xDDD R.I.P. :c

  • fuck faggot ass jay leno

  • L-M-A-O at the end, rly, just had to say this..

  • why are leno and letterman in this? those fucking pricks are the same people bill hated

  • maybe the best punch line EVER 3:37

    fuck the goberment

    fuck the religion

    fuck jay leno

    fuck letterman

and fuck people now than i think

  • Shut up Leno. you only wish you had talent like Bill Hicks.

  • @fatchickinla

My sentiment exactly. What a fat fucking leech.

  • Way ahead of his time....He figured it out so long ago while most people today are STILL !!!!!!! clueless

  • Again... Is it me or is Jay Leno and the leader or the BNP Nick Griffin secret twin brothers? They're fuckin' IDENTICAL! :o

  • Have a LAUGH

    With your host DEAD JFK

    As he examines 9-11

    watch?v=8DQp0QxkBCU

  • @2JOHNNYT LOL

  • ITS OVERRRR !!! yaaa lets fuck

  • PLAY FROM THE FUCKING HEART!!!!!

  • I love Bill.

  • Now how cool is it that there is a reel to reel tape player behind Kevin Booth and David Johndrow? I always wanted one of those yet never could afford one when they were still around.

  • fucking awesome

  • Whats with all these douchebags like Jay fucking Leno on here talking about Bill Hicks like they were great friends.

I'd rather listen to just his parents talk about him.

  • @Ievolovel

yeh, its funny funny cos from what i knew bill couldn't stand jay leno , he even did jokes about him...

  • Yes, he refered to Leno in his act as "a sucker of Satan's cock." He also had a great bit about Limbaugh.

  • levolovel

exactly ! Bill would be turning in his grave having that twit leno talking about him like they were big buddys what crap Leno is a phony everything Hicks wasnt .......

  • to be fair, leno knew hicks for years, so even if bill hated him he's still qualified to talk about him. and leno knows hicks hated him, so give him a break.

  • @Ievolovel They might not have had the same view points on life, or even liked one another, but I would assume in a field like this people like Leno would have great respect for a maverick like Hicks.

  • @Ievolovel

I'm with you on that I really wanna hear his family talk about him instead

  • @Ievolovel This is supposed to be a documentary about a man that was beyond extraordinary. 110% pure soul The Mozart of Comedy and they have a scum bag sell out like Jay Leno in here. WTF?!?!?

  • @Ievolovel Leno got Bill his big break with Letterman. In the documentary, Bill Hicks: American, Bill's comic friends give Leno credit for bringing Bill to national television so as much as Bill mocked and belittled Leno during interviews and during his shows, Leno played a big role in Bill's career.

  • its a shame he never got a chance to have kids. Hicks forever<3

  • @LacesOutJacko

    he did have a kid

  • no shit..well then the legacy lives on!

  • @ShroomSamich I'm sure he didn't

  • i admire you all.

  • that one vertabrae!!!

  • fuck letterman too

MUHAHAHA- No one will ever know!!

  • I hate Jay Leno..

  • Why does everyone hate him?

  • MISS YOU MISS YOU MISS YOU every single day, Bill Hicks! MUAH!

  • i would like to hear what he would say about ppl today

  • Listen carefully. Bill IS talking about people today

  • true

  • well part of me is glad he didnt see it.

  • Comment removed

  • I find it interesting that Jay Leno is on there. Bill ripped him apart on "Rant in E Minor."

  • two-faced turd

  • I agree, it seems to me who Leno was and what he is about would be the very essence of what Bill was against. Leno is a rich conservative republican who lives the life of extreme excess, I don't see how the two could be friends on any level other than being in the comedic family.

  • umm... lenno is not a conservative republican...

  • well he fuckin hates obama

  • That makes him a conservative republican? I don't whatch Lenno much, more of a Letterman and Connan guy. but i think you're confuzing "hateing" with "making jokes about." Plus he made jokes about Bush all the time.

  • no hes not a conservative but i think he leans a ittle more to the right, and youre right he did make jokes about buh but you can tell that the jokes about obama are a little more serious than the ones aimed at bush.

  • I'm not a rebuplican, and I don't care for obama.

  • Sorry, I didn't mean to throw republican in there, I tend to always mix in conservatives with republicans lol

Leno is an independent liberal conservative! Could there be such a thing? He sits pretty low on the charity ratio list for how wealthy he is, the majority of his donations come from other peoples money. lol Now that's conservative! He's a swing voter I know, but he keeps his personal life pretty private considering the job he's had the last 17 years.

    Bill+Jay=?

  • @SeeHearSpeakLaugh leno is pro-union, and i really appreciate that. but he is also a republican, and when he makes comments regarding the current affairs of america, he comes across as being a typical asshat republican.

  • @irtimed It seems, like Bill's "Basic Instinct" segment, that we're getting baffled by the labels. Leno has shown himself - by his ACTIONS - to be concerned only with his own perceived and immediate best interest. He has created a pattern of behaviour which, for example, led Johnny Carson to appear on Letterman's show after Leno ascended to the throne on "Tonight". Republican, capitalisation included, he may not be, but he embodies almost everything about that stance that Bill detested.

  • Jay Leno saw Rant in E Minor and rang Bill up to talk about it. Basically Leno just agreed with everything he said and then they got on again. Weird shit :)

  • Bill and Jay Leno were friends! He did that bit on him to explain to him what he was doing wrong! They spoke before he died!

  • yeah, bill called him a "whore"! he criticized him for hawking doritios.

  • @skorli he may have ripped apart jay apart in rant, but personally, they were friends. they had a falling out, but by the end bill would have told you that he loved jay.

  • Carlin influenced Hicks, as he did many comedians. If you look at the material of both comedians on a time line, you can see the influence of Hicks's material on Carlin starting in the early 90s with Carlin's HBO specials Jammin' In New York and Back In Town. Carlin didn't start his true "rantings" until then. Many in the biz have said Hicks was the reason for Carlin's angrier tone, and his later specials from 99 to his death make it even more obvious the influence Hicks had on him.

  • no go watch what am i doing in new jersey, total rant.

  • I´m glad that I found this, totally love Bill! He was way ahead of his time.

  • great

  • 3:38 is genius

  • after watching this, i have more respect for jay leno and less respect for letterman.

  • yea but bill fuckin hated him

  • well nobody in this business really seems to like him.

  • What a great tribute to have Leno and Letterman in this. Two big spinless ppl Bill spent most of his time despising.

  • he liked letterman, he watched his show, even after the censorship thing. he didn't spend most his time despising him.

  • He was against the crappy censored entertainment that those two represents and guard.

  • LOL, I love the "suck your own cock" routine. He was a fucking genious and OMFG, he is missed. R.I.P BILL

  • ironic how leno in this film

  • I want to introduce my father to Bill Hicks' comedy, but can't decide what to show him frist... "Relentless", "One Night Stand" or "Revelations"? (It's hard to get him to watch anything over 10 min.)

I think "Relentless" might be a bit much for a first time... ;-) Any tips?

  • show him the best one, arizona bay.

  • sry cant really help you there.

Becouse my father introduced me to Bill Hicks and i love him for it!...:)

  • Wake him up in the middle of the night with the Goat Boy skit.

  • "if you can't get laid on that day: cut it off!"

  • wow... fucking awesome.

  • david letterman and jay leno commenting on bill hick's documentary?
