  • @strawbskiwi In the video you can see a mouse at the bottom of the pail. The mouse was not a prop; it fell into the bucket, as designed. The method works well.

  • If you're gone for weeks at a time, it's more cruel to let them die of dehydration and starvation. And it's not water, it's RV antifreeze so no rotting smell accumulates.

  • Anybody thinking of doing this, dont fill the water.. thats just cruel... set them free far away from your house after

  • @thickpooxbox360 See next post.

  • @thickpooxbox360 Set them free so they can get into someone else's house? Tell you what, I'll catch them live it YOU come pick them up. OK? Otherwise Mickey's doing laps.

  • @JFinne9 i already got mice in my house thanks:)

  • @thickpooxbox360 But I don't - Moral of the story, Add the water and drowning the bastards works, setting free apparently does not.

  • What about fumes from the antifreeze? Is this safe to keep in the house?

  • @Meisterfluscher The antifreeze is RV antifreeze -- the kind one uses to keep water pipes from freezing. It is non-toxic (but don't drink it).

  • Now build something for the future ant infestation.

  • Mice may be good swimmers, but like the snickers commercial, think solutions, makes it extremely hard for even the best swimmers. Anti-freeze will force them down and it will be a quick and painless death. Being as I worked for a company that does this, it is one of the best solutions to use, water in the bucket would be inhumane.

  • @shortfuse846 What kind of antifreeze were they using? This looks pink, like RV antifreeze.

  • you are a fucking retarded prick rat are good swimmers how do u think they live sewers and that is not water thats juice and im not a hippie my lizard eats them all the time wait ima go feed him 2 right now

  • @theGangstadude1 Even if they are good swimmers, they cannot scale a flat plastic surface, Aside from that, this is a for mice, not rats...

  • This is a good trap.

  • you are a jerk.

  • Poor little tiny mouse :((

  • After all that, where would you throw them away?

  • Well...actually...they are able to swim, they just get tired & die a miserable death.

  • dont mind all those idiots talking about humane traps, for starters they most likely dont have a mouse/rat issues and if you use a live trap then you have to go and drop it off to become some one else problem (seems rude to me) they always find their way back into a home, unless you live in AK and drive 40 min out to the middle of nowhere, for another they are pest who cares how they die, and if you are going to leave it for weeks/months yours is a great design.

  • They probably don't taste very good once they drown in the antifreeze, though.

  • Why dont you just leave the bucket with no water?? that way it will be a non-killing mouse trap.

  • How is he not suffering?

  • @XDmichielXD who cares

  • i must' have misunderstood the part where you said things instantly die when they drown. the more you know

  • why is the water pink?

  • humane shumane...mice like onions, good bait! Dont waste good PB on rodents folks!

  • fermalvahide or some caustic chemical such as toluene will assure they don't rot and stink-up the place.

  • haha, you are tanked in this video

  • "There's no suffering.. because they're not good swimmers" LOL that's hillarious!

  • Didn't know that about antifreeze. Good idea.

  • mouse lover s dont get offened but theres animals people dont like

  • Ingenious.

  • love it... thanks for the ideal. i'm on a mission. i'm about to kill a family of mice.guess i'll make the 10:00 news..... lol

  • for those of u that mention poison. i think it is not very intelligent. u don't want a rat dead somewhere within a corner and rot with deceases.

  • How about one that drops them into a pneumatic chamber and launches them 500 yards through a 1 1/2" PVC pipe?

That would be fucking awesome AND humane!

  • MOTHER FUCKER !!! PUT YOUR HEAD IN THAT BUCKET, AND JUMP TO POOL AND WITH THAT PINK SHIT

  • why is the water red??? and ccoooollll now instead of the coke can i can just put peanut butter around the bucket!!! nice

  • wow look at this ugly old man killing poor mice, did you guys see his stomic? and his hair? haha freaken white ass hair and bald in the middle, ha i bet this guys dick doesn't work anymore, at a certain age jerking off is over fellas, try viagra miaster, i bet the dead mouse could get his dick up higher then you can, pshh old man

  • Errrm, "instantaneously" and "drowning" are two words that never should go together.... As its an impossibility. Nice catch nonetheless

  • COWARD SON OF A BITCH Shoot the Cu YOUR MOTHER THAT YOU CREATED THIS WORLD AND PUT YOUR son of a bitch BITCH!

  • If someone traps a mouse and then set it free so that it can enter my house, I'll trap a bunch of mosquitoes and set them free in yours.

  • "Instant" drowning.. "they cannot swim very well...in antifreeze" love it.

  • are you fucking kidding me?! BETTER mouse trap?! this guy is fucking ridiculous.. i went online to look for humane mouse traps and this retard pops up. thanks for ruining my night ignorant old fuck

  • Have you tried leaving the bucket without antifreeze, so the mouse will just fall in, then you can release him outside somewhere, instead of killing the poor thing?

  • what?? "they drown instantaneously, there is no suffering because they're not good swimmers"??

There is no instant drowning, it takes a long time before they get tired and stop being able to breathe! Are you a liar or just stupid?

  • that stupid idea it hurt mice not alive ..if your baby child will the same way happen .

  • why why why cry cry thay had to kill him oh the agoney

  • You guys are retarded. You only think that this is sick becausemice are fuzzy. If for some reason the vermin being trapped were, say, frogs, you wouldn't give a shit. Also normal snapping/glue traps are just sick. I'd rather drown in antifreeze than be chocked under a metal bar or starve stuck to a plastic pad, unable to move.

  • die biatch!! its not funny!!!

  • This is an excellent idea. Emptying the carcasses would be a total mess, but it's better than having mice. "Lookit what he does for his mouse deal!" That's an amazing example of colloquial English. I love this video.

  • The laugh at 1:23/1:24 kills me every time.

  • Our Mouse Jumps even in water

  • That's stupid. A mouse snap trap cost little and is very space efficient. Even with the time spent checking mice traps every now an then is still a time saver then setting this thing up. Also, if you have any cats or dogs they love antifreeze, although it only takes a few table spoons to kill them. And I am not sold on the whole "mice aren't good swimmers..." They may not be able to swim in antifreeze... And there is no way it's possible to drown "instantaneously."

  • Interesting trap you made. So antifreeze will really keep a dead thing from rotting for months? I might try one, if I ever have a mouse problem.

  • "idiots, you dont suffer drowing -struggling around not being able to breathe, terror and pain for lack of oxygen for a minute or two and BOOM quick painless death

  • u fucking retard u type of ppl make me sick to the stomach how can u say u feel sorry for a rodent that has cripling effect on the national health service and ruins ppls life with health dis order...? u ought to be shot point blank. iv got children who had suffered because of them including my self. so i hope that make u happy ass- hole

  • @olivetribe oh it makes me gloriously happy, maybe you and your children should be shot point blank just so you can be put out of your misery

  • @lionman1117 u call ur self a lion man i bet ur a pussy man really

  • @dja1312 How about you try it if you think its painless. Try imagine yourself gasping for air for 2 min, will you feel good?

  • The mice getting in my house don't swim, they drown, but they CAN jump out of the trash can. 1 1/2 feet!

  • ok, im a liberal and all, but seriously, its called self preservation. I dont need all the BS mouse droppings and having to police my counters and cupboards b/c some damn pest is hungry. You want em alive, ill put em all in a box and mail em to you, and you take care of em...I don't have the time, patience or money to keep up with these superbred lil shits...thank you

  • by the way I mean that he did that great swim at the bottom of the pool. He saw me and freaked out. lol

  • I fix swimming pools for a living. I once saw a mouse dive in a pool swim to deep end of a 8 ft pool and swim back. They are some of the best swimmers. They do get tired and drown. Did you know you could not fill that bucket with water and they still would not be able to get out? They are not good jumpers. I'm just sayin.

  • lol theres no suffering? they still drowned. pretty sure that suffering. but whatever dead is dead and its a great idea.

  • this is a good trap. i get a kick out of people saying how inhumane it is to drown a mouse. maybe you could post your home add. and you could use this trap with no liquid and they could be brough to your house to live. dont be silly people. better yet feed rat poison and let a family pet get into it and die and see how bad a you feal for a drowning mouse then. just my two cents.

  • The bucket trap is designed to be left unattended for weeks or months at a time. The antifreeze is viscous so the mice die quickly. What are the "other ways to handle them" that accomplish these goals?

  • Excellent idea for hunting camps! Much better than snap traps.

  • People that loves mice and rats should have lived when the big plague was all over Europe.

  • Your comments show that you are oblivious to reality. Do you know what mice can do to electrical wiring, or a mattress, or anything cloth? I've had mice steal from my snap traps many times. Sometimes they don't get away, but if they aren't dead, they are destructive.

  • @lionman1117 Mice aren't human so it can't really be inhumane....

  • @lionman1117 stfu dude...i'm here on youtube to see some carnage and this video was lame...there was no blood shed...this was extremely humain

  • @ReeferBuddy

    you mispelled "humane"

  • @Ertragen man u spell check morons on youtube are reaaaly annoying...go bang ur mom u spell check fuck

  • @ReeferBuddy

You are the one who mispelled. You are the moron, moron.

  • @Ertragen ur a retard

  • @lionman1117 i realy agree : )

  • @lionman1117 you are so rite I have a mouse that goes in my closet and go in my shoe but I will catch it some day

  • @lionman1117 you are right that is sad

  • LOL. Mice are good swimmers. They're not good swimmers in anti-freeze though, and I suspect most animals wouldn't be either!

  • thats pretty innovative, but the thing you were saying about leaving the trap unatended for months....Im not so sure about that - im sure after its been dead a while it will stink.

  • not if it's submersed in anti freeze.

  • Nice one can't you make one that electrocutes the little fuckers! I hate mice in my home spreading diesese with their shit and piss!

  • i am sorry if this offends, when you have vermin crawling around your home peeing and pooing with every step, i used poison and snap traps, i didnt see the point in freeing them and giving the problem to someone else. This trap is good, somebody pass me a bucket and a pepsi!

  • @brownfaye not if you put them in the wild, think a little, damn i hate stupid ass people

  • @unknownperson4eva Er.. you think a little, do you know where the fuck I live? Do you know where the 'Wild' is from my house? If your that easily offended, maybe the next time you see a post titled Better Mouse Trap, you should stay away you dumb ass.

  • @brownfaye well if the mouse trap was better it would be humane and wouldn't kill the mice

  • @unknownperson4eva

who cares about humane look up the meaning and the root of the word...human-e, "characterized by tenderness, compassion, and sympathy for people and animals, esp. for the suffering or distressed: humane treatment of horses" meaning to treat like a human...but heres the thing they are not, and as for the root of the word it was for use with humans only, to treat humans with compassion even if they were peasants, its been twisted into this BS over a mouse

  • @unknownperson4eva besides the humane traps like the live traps does no good, unless you live over 100 miles from any other homes, bet you dont, and you release it 100 miles from any ones home, which i bet you wouldn't, it will find its way back into a home, and i bet you would do that for a rat too, which are not native to the USA and most country for that matter, and like mice distroy wildlife and follows human every where they go, they are pest and should be distroyed

  • @brownfaye i totally agree with you I have a Rat in my house and these nasty vermin contaminate everything. I dont want my family to get sick because of this rodent and i sure as heck dont want other people to be pestered by it.Kudos to you tgoodman00

  • lol did he say in anti freeze?

  • nice one i killed a rat with my guitar that sucks

  • Are you aware of any "humane" traps that can be left unattended for months and are odor free?

  • @tgoodman00 I can.

That bucket trap minus the antifreeze

The one way out trap (as I call em)

    Mouse house trap

I could name more, but I have a sports game to attend.

  • @tgoodman00

Would have been better if you didn't put anti freeze in it, then put peanut butter at the bottom, more scent, plus they won't die for like 1 week if you put enough food, so, I suggest a pool of peanut butter instead of anti freeze.

  • Well, "odor free" as long as you don't mind peanut butter

  • what is that pink liquid,,,

    is that a SOBE juice

  • anti freeze. you can hear it said if you listen closely

  • DUDE! just let them fall in an empty bucket then let them go. They dont hurt anything..

  • if its empty they can jump out.

  • what the hell you have mercy for mice or rats they are pests and you are talking about setting them free kill the little bastards i made a trap that killed them instantly

  • eaat or be eaten

  • i would just let them fall in an empty bucket, then set em free in nature, that there , isnt nice

  • that in humain

  • Did you use enough peanut butter?

  • would be perfect without water... just put them back in the nature... or kill them real quick.... mices are very good swimmers like rats.... but if they swim for houers... of course they will die anytmie... and thats not the best way to kill a mouse....

  • thank you man! I'm setting one today!

  • ...or you can buy a mousetrap...just saying this seems like a waste of time, space, and money. just an opinion

  • No, because of the antifreeze in the bottom of the bucket, this device has the advantage that it can be left unattended for an entire season without odor. Just saying.

  • brilliant!!!!!! now i need to use that design for my mouse problems at my work center.

  • @tgoodman00 So can a mouse trap...well atleast the ones i have.

  • @tgoodman00 It wouldnt take long for the mice to exeed the depth of the anti freeze then start stinking. maybe check it once a week , lol.

  • "a" mousetrap doesn't do much for a mouse population and you have to keep setting them every time they go off. This works very well for a long time.

  • You could do without the water

  • Someone needs to get a bigger shirt.

  • wait a minute,,,

why NO closed captioned in here video,,,

put it on closed captioned in here now

  • anti freeze is sweet, so aren't they just interested in the antifreeze?, and does this work on squirrels?

  • smartass1101 & tgoodman00

Thank you for your good explanation.

This trap will do better or best.

  • Your friends are mocking you...lol

  • I made one of those. They are easily the best mouse trap I have ever used. It was so effective that it even caught a roach. Probably a fluke, but knowing that it can make you feel good.

  • why cant they just leave out the antifreze and lust set it free in the woods?

  • This is a trap designed to be left in a remote location, such as a cabin in the woods. If you leave out the antifreeze, then the mouse decomposes and then smells. This trap is unlike others in that it can be left for months gathering (dead) mice, then emptied all at once, odor free.

  • Put piss in the bucket

  • ...in antifreeze. lol

  • KILLER!

  • set them free!!! fuck that!! kill that shit!! so it doesnt bother other ppl!!!

and i am really trying this out!

  • fill it with water brilliant

  • I like how they say mouse.

  • mawss

  • I don't get why people release them. What's the point? They'll just come back or produce enough pinkies to where they'll get back inside your house.

  • You can do this without the anti-freeze. They don't jump very high. Then you can let them live and drop set them free somewhere.

  • They're called pest for a good reason you know. They can be dangerously dirty.

  • So you're o.k. with them eating/contaminating your food and shitting all over your kitchen cabinets and counter tops? They are pests.

  • Pardon my bleeding heart. I just can't kill a mammal. I stop for squirrels to cross the road.

  • I stop for squirrels too. I've even sat there waiting for a squirrel to make up its mind on where it wanted to go, but I wouldn't tolerate one raiding my pantry when the nuts on the trees outside are fair game. But to get rid of those you just use moth balls, no traps needed. They tend to stay in the attick and out of common areas when they enter a home.

  • Your bleeding heart doesn't change the fact that mice are unsanitary, disease spreading, structure damaging vermin.

  • shut up u idiot that care for pathetic little ass like them

  • Yeah, I mean, I don't really care for spiders but I care for liitle mammals running around my closet. They only get one chance at life. I don't want to kill the poor little bastards.

  • they only get 1 chance at life? what living things you know can come back from the dead and get a second chance?

  • That's a really cool design, but... there's no such thing as "drowning instantaneously." No matter how well you can swim, that's a shit death, man. If you insist on killing the mouse (which isn't necessary, especially with such a potentially humane design like the one you have here), a conventional mousetrap would probably less painful.

Either way, 4 stars for creativity!

  • That's pretty clever, I think I'm going to use this next time I have a mouse problem.

  • she is so hot!!! wow!! s

  • i hope PETA doesn't find me when i video tape my Trap, You know the one with the bucket except it has toothpicks glued to the bottom

  • they do suffer by drowning, but nice trap tho, i hate mice rats, etc

  • Its Antifreeze is poisonous so it kills the mouse quicker than it can drown

  • what a way to die lol drowning in antifreeze

  • *Your on!*

  • i bum mice

  • what type of liquid do you put in the bucket to kill the mice??

  • antifreeze

  • piss

  • NONE! wats the point in killing it! argh u ppl r so sick in the head!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's not sick if mice eat you out of house and home. it's you or them. you choose.

  • yh its sick!, catching thems ok as long as you dont hurt them, u can just do this trap without the water... thats wat im doing because i ave a mouse in my bedroom lol, after u caught them u can just let them go in the woods or sumthin. i just think its harsh killing them

  • the thing about mice is that they know their way back to your house. It's been studied that if you drop them off about 5 miles away..they still know how to find their way back. Even if you let them go..they'll come back and with babies in tow. then I'll really feel bad having to kill the babies.

  • Well you might not have to throw em away! or kill em! wat about keeping it and taming it

  • sure as long as you have money to raise them and the many many mices babies they produce in a year.

  • Actually, it doesn't really make a difference whether you kill them or not. Being very adaptable creatures, they're more likely to make due where you leave them than run X miles back to your house.

  • pretty cool! hahahah that guys laugh was sooo funny 5! 5 stars

  • pitty i dont have anymopuse or rats here

    wah

  • antifrezze my god take nails and put them in the bottom :)

  • stupido! he suffered because he is a good swimmer, better than you!

  • too bad it probably attracts roaches

  • genius dude, thanks i will be making my own trap just like that one, by the way is that chocolate?

  • peanut butter

  • Excuse me that's my favorite laugh!

    The camera loves Hotdog!

  • that one laugh was so gay sounding no offence, it made me laugh haha

  • Whipers *hey, your on* lol

  • Sad. Kill them faster.

  • nails at the bottom of it :)

  • whoooo!

  • u should make it a human mousetrap i can;t beive u i love rats and mice and couldn't eva kill one

  • Amusingly enough, mice are excellent swimmers. The mouse drowned after it exhausted itself trying to tread water and/or jump out.
