Xheli has the pro type frame and pro head or the cheaper Align SE V2 head. The pro comes in a tube or belt form. Belt is better for beginners cause less money to fix belt. mycoolheli website has coupons and more info
cj video....just got a exi 450 and have had great luck, no trouble so far.....for $29 you cannot go wrong with this model, just locktite anything metal and CA the plastic stuff...great model for the money!!
thanx for the reply, Ive read things where the stock plastic tails blew out but havnt seen for myself and dont know what happened so not sure , however have one coming so will see
@riversidedan Back when I was running the plastic tail, I think I was only running about 2400 rpm. I don't think I'd go much above that with plastic tail grips.
@riversidedan I've had a plastic one that broke in a crash and a metal one that cracked (presumably in a crash) and caused a bad vibration in flight. Never had one totally fly apart in flight. I take it you have??
@riversidedan , yep! WEAK!! dang thing split in half on me (thank god) during setup, checking tracking and for vibrations. tail just got real sloppy and started torque rolling, the split was at the same spot as the end of the boom stop. hehe I replaced it with a cheap G2/walkera36 plastic tail box. never had 1 problem with those in over 3yrs same one is still on my G2 after 20-30 crashes!
my EXI450 should be here this week. I have a Blade400 now, but friend has the EXI and like it better. Have jr285mg & jr3500g w/gy520gyro for it. Use DX7, and thing I am getting the new DX8 radio. Hope that the NEAT fair in few weeks might have dealer with the DX8 in stock there., Now to find a Bell 407 fuselage and 4 blade rotor head for a 450 size helicopter! : )
is that Mclovin??

Have you learned nose in hover? How long did it take you to master nose in orientation?
kirikset 1 month ago
@kirikset It was probably about a year and a half until I was comfortable with nose-in. The E-flite mSR that I got really helped.

Nice heli also looks like you have it set up good. I don't see any vibration and tail seems to hold good. The gyro is Futaba?
jdw5043 1 year ago
@jdw5043 Yep. Futaba GY401. Check out some of my recent videos. You can see how the tail holds in some light 3D.

Well considering that the Align TRex 450 Sport super combo is $450 and doesn't include a transmitter or receiver... I think it is.

Nice! Was that a lot of money?
