But overall you're right, it'll not be good for the community.
It might not be that bad, it all depends on buffs dependance and dual box convenience, if buffs last less time than in other games it will be discouraging for 2 boxers, and it will also be discouraging if buffers have attacking habilities, then they would just level slowly cause of having a leech that could have been a live player adding to the damage.
Im not too worried yet, there are many games where 2 boxing is pointless.
the buffs are supossed to be active for about 45 minuntes, which I think is a lot of time, that makers me believe that it is worthless to pay another account just to use it every 45 mins when you have the stigma option, which allows you to pick other classes movements, just like buffs from a chanter, paying to accounts is not necessary, but some people will still do it
Can I ask -- from where you got such a numbers? It was an interview with NCsoft community coordinator Martin "Amboss" Rabl in January of 2008. He said that buffs will last several minutes and none over a half hour. More likely a couple of minutes, maybe 5. It looks more suitable for Aion than Lineage2-syle buffs duration in my opinion. I agree that this was said long ago, but I'm almost sure that skills effects are still under consideration.
I got those numbers from aionsource some time ago, I think they where in the wiki, it was a list about the skills of the Chanter class, I'll check if I can find the URL to post it for you ;)

Yes, I heard the same, some buffs will last more than others, but most of them last ~5 mins.
