  • 2 idiots i tell three a white car to in begin 0,25 sec you see the gate long down and then a car.Idiots never lissen and when hit the police can tell on familie sorry dead on train. But the normal people stop.

  • Nice vid!

  • How many idiots were there that did this?

  • Oh, that reminds me, I added this to my video log.

  • That one moron almost got sucked under.

  • nice he really did hold the horn down

  • OK... WHY is it called Darwin Award... I think I get it but...

  • I LOVE HERZOG TRAINS! WHOOO!

  • Great video! Really enjoyed it. 5 Stars!

  • Heck there's 2 idiots that cross the tracks after the gates go down

  • Yup. Definately two Darwin Award canidates.

  • Guy had some good horn action going there..Nice job..!!

  • Thanks. Did you see why he was going crazy on it?

Read the comments below to figure it out.

  • Oh the kid crossing the tracks?? lol..

  • Love that zoom shot Greg. What is the max analog zoom do you have with that one?

  • Glad you like it Dale. I was quite pleased with it myself. I'm still getting accustom to the variable speed of the zoom. I havn't "perfected" that one yet.

34x is the max zoom without using the digital feature. It also had the capeability of going to 800x using the digital feature but it has a tendancy to get really grainy really fast. I'll say that at 34x you can breath on the tripod and see the shot shake a little so I try to stay in a little closer.

  • Yeah, without getting lengthy on here, the digital zoom published on most cameras/recorders is a load of crap. Analog is the ONLY thing to consider. My VHS-C camcorder has a 20X zoom and 770X digital. Never been able to shoot past, say 25X to 30X effectivly.

  • great video. do you know what the grade is on that hill? and where does the track off to the right go?

  • I'm not the best one to guess on a grade % but I'd think it's about 1 1/2%.

The tracks that go off to the right (before the train passes the camera) is known as the Lineville Subdevision. It eventually ends up in Birmingham, Al. This line is actually part of a feature article in Trains Magazine this month.

  • That's a neat location, I like how you can see the train curve through the bottom of the hill.

  • Nice crew!!

  • Yah they were though I can't take all the credit for the honking. Did you notice the kid running across the tracks at 1:40? Definately not the brightest star in the sky.

  • Yeah, makes you wonder who raises them...
