  • is it copyrighted?

  • @ThehouseofJesus The composition remains in copyright until 75-years following the death of JS Zamecnick. Therefore, you may not use it without infringing copyright.

  • Sounds similar to the song "Berliner Luft"...

  • where can i get this?

  • @TF2Dude999 google youtube to mp3, first link

  • Thumbs up if you're watching this in 1932.

  • cool I can use these kinds of songs for my silent films!!

  • @CookooProductions No, you may not. They remain in copyright.

  • 50 years after the composer's death have passed, and that's the important thing in this case AFAIK.

  • @codingfreak You are incorrect. The copyright law was changed in 1996 (known as the Sonny Bono amendment). The composition (incorrectly called a 'song' by YouTube and iTunes) remains in copyright for 75-years after the death of Mr Zamecnick.

  • Its 50 years after the authors death

  • My last name was Zamecnik before I got married. It is pretty cool to see a pioneer in the film industry has the same wierd last name as you.

  • is this song copyrighted? I would love to use it in one of my videos.

  • @InternetVidz I think the copyright should vanish in 2024.

  • @InternetVidz music with more than 50 years have no longer copyright if i'm well informed :D

  • @Andaluz14 Read the description: it was recorded in 2010 by Iwona Lebioda (probably from Poland) ;)

  • @averit yeah but the original is not from 2010 ;)

  • @Andaluz14 That's why you may use original if you'll find it somewhere ^^ This track is a sord of reproduction so you'd need to get a premission I guess ;) Cheers!

  • @averit i know :D i didn't say that THIS song has no copyright i only said that songs with more than 50 years are no longer copyrighted :D

  • @InternetVidz

Probably, but look into the whole if made before a certain date rule, and it might fall under there.

  • @InternetVidz The composition (inaccurately defined as a 'song' by YouTube) remains in copyright until 75 years following the death of the composer. You may, therefore, not use it.
