But since its a basic model its really balanced as far as what genre of music you can play with it and its plain black without a pickgaurd so it does look mean enough to play some metal. The only thing is about a year and a half ago i got an epiphone firebird, a verrrry nice guitar, but that is insanely not metal at all :P i was in to generally all rock and metal then, now im into alot of metal, mostly thrash. I feel your pain too! :D

But Disturbed is among the few new metal bands i listen to. @adema013 Yeah the new priest album wasnt great, it was good for what they were going for though which was a different style, like a symphonic concept album. They're were a few songs i liked on it though. some of the really old priest you'd probably like its all really rock roots then not really metal. Judas Priest is sooooooo diverse though they have songs that can be considered 6 or 7 different subgenres of rock/metal and they are all over the place so i dont even mind the latest album anyway
