My brothers and I used to play this game all the time. The best part was the special combo moves collecting those skulls allowed you to perform. If you had 3 skulls and kept rapidly swapping characters, it would start a brawl between the three dwarves that would beat up anything that got in the way, and then each one had its own special move, like spitting bowling balls or shooting a bunch of the baseballs out of the shotgun. Good stuff.

Ahh, the Saturn era. This is what Sega gave us instead of a new Phantasy Star, Streets of Rage or a real Sonic game (Sonic R and Sonic 3D Blast are garbage)

whats wrong with this game then? looks like fun,the cartoon really look laughable dumb.and we got guardian heros and many other greats still on the system and 2d like no other console could put out.i don't blame sega for not releasing any of the megadrive i blame sega for not releasing any of theyre arcade goodens on theyre consoles,we got half cooked versions and 30Euro price tag for a galaxy force on ps2 wich is more then 10 years old,comon sega start releasing arcade to home.

@69Bluntsmoka420 yeah.. darn you sega for giving us this, guardian heroes, clockwork knight, astal, legend of oasis, shinobi legions, shining force III, shining the holy ark, shining wisdom, the panzer dragoon series, virtua fighter, burning rangers, virtua cop, daytona usa, sega rally, nights, die hard arcade, virtual on, fighting vipers, sakura wars, and fighters megamix.

sure, they definitely failed by not bringing us another sonic, but sega made some excellent games during that era.

Hmm... I remember seeing this game in an old Gamepro (That I still have, by the way). I thought it was interesting enough, but it was only until now that I see the game in motion.

Oh, if I could only find a Saturn emulator I could use easily.

Yes, those were the days. I miss playing the Three Dirty Dwarves. I hope Appaloosa or some other company that may hold the rights to it makes a new version but keep it in 2-d with the FMV cut scenes.
