@chubbybunnyyummy If you're panicking about deep water in the pool, you need to work on some basic things in the shallow water. When you're confident doing these things in shallow water, deep water won't be a problem. Work on getting the head out to breathe (see our breast stroke video) and rolling from front to back and on to front again. But I think we need to make a video about deep water skills.Watch this space.
Mr. Cross, My body is sooo negative in the water, That it almost seems impossible to float other than to sink nearly halfway down the pool and kick to come up.
Hi, Some people are more buoyant than others. But most people who lack natural bouyancy can benefit greatly from loosening up in the water, thinking light thoughts, allowing direction in the body where the head and limbs float out of the body instead of contracting in. Letting yourself sink and just accepting things as they are is a good start. We can waste a lot of energy trying to make ourselves float. The difficult thing for people lacking in bouyancy is that trying harder makes things worse
The water looks so refreshing and the bloke on holiday's stroke looks so languid and effortless, the real star though is that brave lad Stan what a truely bostin posting.
please help, I can swim but when it comes to deep dark water in the pool im starting to panic, and sinking.. how to overcome fear of deep water? :(
