  • Yes, I have an old preamp pedal for converting line level into the box with a pin connector for a 147 Leslie..it works great..I split the Left side of the keys to the pedal and the right side to the amp. I then have a volume pedal on the left side before the pedal so I can Mute the Leslie..I have a volume pedal on the right to mute the amp..

    Thanks so much..Louie

  • @professorlouie Thank you. I have a better idea of what I need now. Jukebox Johnny

  • You must be using a preamp pedal to drive the Leslie for the Roland organ sounds, and an amp for the Roland piano sounds. Very nice set up. Too old now to drag around my B3, the "Weight", so I am exploring new options. I always liked the Whispering Pines song you do, but this is the first time I heard the weight. Thank You. Jukebox Johnny

  • Thanks...

  • Will do....

  • I adore the original by The Band. I also love the Trews live version of it; when I saw them they killed it.

This is right up there for me. What a wonderful cover.

  • Thanks so much.. Professor Louie & The Crowmatix

  • Oh wow, I didn't notice that it was your band playing. In that case, I'll expand. I've never focused much on the guitar playing for this song as it's the lyrics that get me, but the tone from your lead player is wonderful. It's easy enough to learn the notes of someone else's song, but it's completely different to play the song from the covering band's point of view; to me that's a sign of a true group of musicians.

Again thank you for a wonderful cover for the older fans & young'uns to enjoy

  • The Spirit & the approach to the music of

"The Band" (1960's - 1999) is what Professor Louie & The Crowmatix are always striving for. It is best to have an honest interpreation....

  • Very cool; it seems you're doing just fine so far, so good luck.

  • Thanks and come see us if we play in your area...Prof. Louie & The Crowmatix

  • Take a look at a version my AOL ( Animal Liberation Orcestra) and Dovovan Frankenreiter, both are signed to brushfire records which is Jack Johnson's label.

  • Wii do....

  • you have to see this band jam with Commander cody ,just great music from "the Band" 'and their oun material. You need to see them live.

  • Thanks so much..Professor Louie & The Crowmatix

  • love this song...

    done beautifully...

  • An incredible performance of a classic song by one of the best bands working. Live music doesn't get any better than the Crowmatix.

  • Professor Louie worked for The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame group 'The Band" from 1985-2000..The new York State Museum asked Professor Louie & The Crowmatix to perform a conxcert in honor of "The Spirit Of Woodstock..This was filmed at the concert and a CD has been released of the show...
