And he doesnt grab the sand either. We dont see him die in the script. The soldiers run up to the top and see his dead body.
I saw it in the movie theater and I was crying through the whole movie. I never liked Leo, but I fell madly in love with him in this movie. You feel the movie in every fiber of your body.
