To be really honest i kinda dont care about new years eve, its just a regular day thats celebtated. as far as i know, there isnt anything special about that day. Nothing that says that its a new year.

The truth is, the date is set by the christians so that people in the north would celebrate new year instead of the old midwinter feast, witch was connected to thor and oden and the other old gods. I rather celebrate the midwinter feast than a silly dat
