A moderate social democrat like dennis kucinich might support of our troops but probably might not advocate sending troops to any area that America is in conflict with, such as Afghanistan or Iraq. He probably would want to form diplomatic ties with those countries.

Did you know that "47 million people are poor and without heathcare"?

Well, not really: 10 mil are illegal. 17 mil make over $50K per year, and 14 mil are eligible for Government assistance but do not enroll. Let's see, 10 from 47, minus 17, less another 14. That leaves 6 million who are really poor and without a health PLAN. Each of them can get care at the E.R.

So why the false 47 mil figure? Because it represents a "crisis", and we will better accept socialism if we have a crisis.

Just because Americans are uninsured doesn't mean they can't receive health care; nonprofits and government-run hospitals provide services to those who don't have insurance, and it is illegal to refuse emergency medical service because of a lack of insurance.

@IPOMonster You are correct. It is also fully legal for them to collect on the debt. If you have any assets, say goodbye. If you have nothing, plan on garnished wages or suffering bankruptcy. Furthermore, the problem is that people miss out on preventative care. Since they can't afford to go to the doctor, they wait until it is a MAJOR problem, which ends up costing everyone more in the long run.

So yes, you are correct, but at the same time this view is very short sighted.
