  • The gain is 30% on thrust and the stability of the counter-rotation. Surface piercing will make the boat (walk) on the surface in the direction of rotation, so the counter rotation nullifies that problem.

  • Always wondered if the dual prop idea actually produced significant performance increases. Worked on volvo outdrives with similar dual prop arrangement and was frankly appalled at the extra machinery to make it all happen. Do you have any comparisons versus single prop setup? Very interesting though.
