I am a Maritime separatist & supporter of Quebec sovereignty. I find Western separatism quite interesting but also feel discouraged by it. If the Alberta with it's oil wealth cannot get a serious sovereignty movement underway, then what chance have we here in the East of getting people interested?

Confederation has all but ruined Atlantic Canada, turning us into little more than welfare queens stuck to Ottawa's teat. Must we rely on Quebec to force the situation? This hardly seems desirable.
