  • hey, great vid, but just sayin ur math might be a bit off for the total horsepower. I'm getting 17,200 hp (three 4400's and one 4000.) feel free to delete this comment once u've fixed the number =)

  • @FanRailer Oops! Thanks for letting me know! I'm going to leave this comment because it took almost 3 years for someone to find my mistake lol

  • @CoasterFan2105 lol no prob =p

  • why would there be a reefer car headin out of sd

  • why don't we have 7500's anymore now its only 7700's?

  • @mutanay77 Because the 7700's are designated as intrastate units for use in southern california

  • @CoasterFan2105 its sad because some of them are so pale i can't even believe there orange! and some are badly tagged/graffiti

  • @mutanay77 You can thank the Mexican gang members, LOL

  • Who says the daygos are shorties. I just witnessed a 91 car all-auto carrier train roll thru downtown SD.

  • Somany ppl are gonna die when that becomes a quiet zone. ppl are idiots.

  • So there's a BNSF 510 Dash 8 and an AMTK 510 Dash 8! That's a LOL

  • Thank God, Its finally a quiet zone! Now i can sleep again.

  • @Trains232 Actually, not for another year :)

  • @CoasterFan2105 It would seem more dangerous with a quiet zone since the trolleys run next to the tracks and a lot of pedestrians cross the tracks.

  • Why can't BNSF Still run consists like this in San Diego?

  • i heard another horn. was it a coaster or a light rail

  • @PINKluvr01 San Diego MTS light rail trolley.

  • nice video!

  • Great vid!! Loved those horns! OH THOSE HORN ECHOS! And the cute trollies are a bonus too. ;-) 5*s

  • 5* and favs exellent video¡¡¡¡ grat horn¡¡

  • awesome video

  • Great video!

  • Thank you, Robert.

  • At 4:08 there is what appears to be a 20' empty flat car sandwiched between two empty 70'+ flat car. Unless the rules have changed since I retired that would get a conductor fired practically on the spot. Those empty shorties were prone to being squeezed out particularly going down hills.

  • look at the trucks. thats just 2 flat cars/

  • what a creepy weekend that was. the tornadoes on thursday followed by shitty weather...and a haunting echoed K5HL throughout San Diego.

  • i love that echo when he blows the horn

  • Looks like a nice spot to go trainwatching at. 5*

  • Yup, it sure it!

  • dude i saw a freight yesterday and a coaster and a surfliner had to wait for it to pass and the horn freagin loud!

  • Are freights rare in San Diego?

  • No, there is one train daily. Its a big deal to see the daygo in daylight hours. Now they usally run between 2-3 in the morning.

  • Actuall, the northbound DAYGO still almost always leaves around 7 P.M. and the southbound arrives around 10 PM

  • man that a big time change. back when i railfanned in san diego, the northbound left at almost noon exactly everytime and the southbound came around 9 at night.

  • Hey mike, I meant to ask, whats so funny about BNSF 510?

  • It's just an inside joke.

  • I'm guessing it has something to do with there being an Amtrak dash 8 with the same number haha

  • I love this video, I think it's SoCal railroading at it's finest with the breeze and palm trees. And with a warbonnet, it's definetly a fave and 5 stars!

  • one of my favorite videos!

  • LOL! Why do you like it so much?

  • idk

  • still one of my favorite videos!

  • LOL! The feeling of power?

  • Nice lash-up. Why LOL at the dash-8?

  • Its an inside joke.

  • Great video

  • Thanks!

  • That sounds like a newer K5HLL.

  • Naw, it's a K5HL

  • And an awesome one at that!

  • I love that Nathan Airchime K-5HL.

    -Alex

  • That was a nice K5HL blaring through there! 5*'s and a favorite* for that NICE K5HL!

  • Thanks JP!

  • good video.a BNSF GEVO,a SF C44-9,a BNSF dash 8 40b and another BNSF GEVO.

  • Awesome Video Mike!! How many BNSF trains are in San Diego daily?

  • Not many, LOL! Usually, there is a daily manifest in each direction and a few autoracks. If you want to know more, I can tell you, just pm me.

    -Mike

  • Usually 2 roads in each direction, and a local, but generally all under the cover at night. Sometimes there's a daytime extra on the weekend.
