The scanlines are not correct. A 3d projection would scan in 3d, it now scans in 3d the lines are parallel to the dimensions of the viewport of the movie. It should be in 3d too. Why do you make this with adobe aftereffects? A 3d design program would be smarter. You can also put the background as a texture, then you only have to make a simple 3d model with transparant texture on it wicht has the lines (like a alpha layer) on top of the other textures.
A few years ago two parents went out for dinner A few hours later the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand;sorry i didnt want that happening
It's a small lamp from IKEA with the cord removed. Not sure why it looks like it's at a different angle than the table to you... it's actually sitting on the table.
I'm the guy who made the tutorial and co-owns Aurellia...
We've been having some troubles with our web servers lately trying to do some huge upgrades to the website, but I'll PM you a link to the tutorial on Revver...
The TIE fighter was modeled in TrueSpace (3D rendering program), and animated to rotate against a pure green backround, which I then "green screened" out when I imported it into After Effects.
I NEED TO KNOW WHO DO U DID THAT.

I'm the guy who made the tutorial for Aurellia, and it's some weird bug with the tutorials being hosted with Revver...
Never fear though, we're switching servers and hosting it all ourselves pretty soon!

needs scan lines
cuboos 3 years ago
It has scan lines. They aren't showing up so hot on YouTube resolution because they're 1 pixel high, but they're there.
pearshapedjedi 3 years ago 4
ah, now that you mention it, i do see them, i would suggest maybe slightly bigger, like 3 or 5 pixels.
cuboos 3 years ago
@pearshapedjedi I can see scan lines :D

Thanks! To be clear, though, it's not my tutorial. It was an excellent turorial that I found online and followed to make the above video.

what plugin did you use to green screen it?
ChRiSLiHoT 3 years ago
Looks pretty good! How did you get it to rotate? Did you use a 3d program? Good job!

You could've just exported a PNG sequence with an alpha channel... Saves the keying process ;)
