You can tell Gary's influence is poured over this track. Bursting with attitude and attack with the four pushed to their max - Me 50 now but this was solas to my teenage anxt - Phil Gary and the boyz - cracker fucking track - superb art - can't believe the shit we endure these days when you feel these four virtuosic people do what they do
@thundertower Totally agree with everything you say. I loved and hated Gary Moore too and I'm from Northern Ireland - the place of his birth - but it always pisssed me off a bit the way he continually did his best to upstage Scott Gorham. Scott was and is still a great guitarist but wasn't so flash. I met Scott very briefly when Lizzy played Slane Castle in Ireland many years ago and he truly is one of the nicest people you could meet. RIP Phil and Gary.
"Black Rose" is my favourite Thin Lizzy album, the title-track is amazing but also this song is beautiful and "Sarah". The only album with Gary RIP Maestro
@PokerPekka yeah looks like he was havin a great time! died too young but heck he was a guitarist in thin lizzy. not a bad way to spend your time on earth
thats why its endured so much, hell its still used for covers in 13 year olds bands more than others from the day like sabbath ask a 15 y.o to name 2 lizzy songs and the reply would be boys are back... and whiskey, ask for 2 and youd get hmmm, maybe paranoid if youre lucky
they conquered the whole 70s timeline. 9 years of releasing 9 albums each a homerun, literally year after year. Well to me the early 3 were excellent albums especially the 1st one. Even if they stopped releasing albums in the 80s, kept touring they'd still be legends by just how impressive their 70s catalogue were, seriously though don't get me wrong i love those 2 last albums i consider them "beautiful disasters" but i could live without it.
lol i mean 3 last albums but i kind of really like thunder and lightning, it's an interesting turn of direction just like how different night life is compared to their usual hard rock style
Yes. From the album Black Rose, wich contain many good songs, such as Sarah, Do what You want, and of course the title song, that includes a guitar duell with Gary Moore and Scott Gorham. I reccomend it, for rockfans all over!
All Hail Thin Lizzy!!

Black Rose was the last classic Lizzy album before the downfall and the flashy hair metal of John Sykes later on. Roisin Dubh forever !
