well I watched slayer and slipknot play the same stage 2 and a half years ago at mayhem tour , slayer opened up for first stage and slipknot headlined I don't think these two bands have any issues , some of you may have diffrent taste but every single one of these artist have made great efforts to express themselves , and for these guy's sound it took alot of courage and commitment. Right, but Divine had Paul Bostaph as the drummer which made it sound completely different. I love the album and Paul's drumming. But it's a heavier sound versus thrash. This album has brought them back into their thrash, which is straight up speed metal. To be honest, South of Heaven was different for them. Dark, heavier sound, sacrificing the speed. But still a tremendous album! Fuck it, all their albums are good, let's face it!! And no one can compete with their sound. Their the Thrash Gods.

Being a HUGE fan of both Slipknot and Slayer, I actually had to laugh when I bought this album because when I listened to the titletrack, "World Pained Blood", it reminded me of the Slipknot song, "Gematria", which was the second song on the same album as "Snuff". And then this song came on, I was thinking, "Holy Shit! What's this gem called?" I flipped the album around and literally felt my gut busting because I was laughing so hard! Slayer and The 9 are both great, though.
