My model 1 sega cd's drive doesn't work so it can't properly load discs. It still boots to bios though and that's all that matters.

I, in all honesty, prefer the model 2. Far less flashy, and the music isn't as obnoxious. But as a tech demo, the model 1 is unparalleled.

The other day I found copies of The Adventures of Batman & Robin, Out of This World I & II as well as Sonic CD for a quarter each - suckers! Now I just need Willy Beamish, Monkey Island, Popful Mail & maybe Sol Feace to have the ultimate SEGA CD collection!

I also have Android Assault, After-Burner III, Dark Wizard, Eye of the Beholder, Final Fight CD, Lunar I & II, Night Trap, Rebel Assault, Rise of the Dragon, Robo Aleste, Sewer Shark, Shining Force CD, Silpheed, Snatcher, Spiderman vs the Kingpin, The Terminator, Third World War, Vay and Wolfchild. I'm a good crate digger :D

@katsujinken10 yes, they have the same BIOS because both the CDX and the MkII SEGA CD were released in 1994, and for those new products, a newer BIOS was loaded.

The MultiMega (Genesis CDX in Europe) would also have it's version of the MEGA CD BIOS 2, like the MEGA CD MkII.
