  • what and where is the biulding at 2:46 with the eagles?

  • It's a bank in Warsaw, Jasna street, I presume

  • Dziękuję za śliczne tango!!!

  • This song has a yiddish version, "Geh Niszt awek von myr", apparently recorded only one in 1935 by some Boris Szapiro...Does someone have this recording ?

  • Genia said it all so eloquently I could hardly add anything relevant.

  • What a lovely song, and a lovely video. Thanks for posting.

  • I've known ABOUT the song for quite a while (Katalog Polskich Plyt etc.) but could not find it anywhere and did not hear it until you posted it. I have a few more on my list, like 'Zapomnij o tem' 'Gdy w Ogrodzie' and others. :) Thanks again.

  • Very interesting historical look at Warsaw to melancholic heartfelt lyrical tango music...thx!!

  • BARDZO DZIĘKUJE

  • Grzegorz, This hauntingly beautiful Gold/Wlast composition and Nowicka's dramatic soulful vocal of intense love has touched my heart and I cannot imagine anyone at one of her performances not being moved to tears by this Polish Masterpiece and if I could I would make a plea to that exquisite, elegant pre-war Warsaw....."Nie odchodz odemnie" but sadly it is too late for that Majestic City, Warsaw, is gone and is only a magnificent memory. Thank you so very much for this gem.

  • Now I heard it a few times and am falling in love with the song. Another of A. Gold songs which I've been waiting for, and what a shining pearl it is! Love Wlast's lyrics in translation, Nowicka's heartfelt singing, the delicate melancholic accompaniment. And splendid pre-war Warsaw in the background is perfect. Right into my favorites. Many thanks, G!
