You called yourself an idiot when you shook paint out... I am glad you covered it because I was gonna say you make mistakes so 500 other people dont make them also. That is a good thing :)
Thats what i like keeping it real thanks for sharing I want to durcoat my mossberg 500 and my saiga 762.39.did you buy a kit?and where? thanks happy holidays bud.
I converted my saiga 12 and just masked off the sides and painted the unpainted bottom area. I just used some flat black in a spray can i had layin around and it matched great, no lines either. Duracoating does a much better job tho. They do sell an entire with propellant. Which looks easier than the air brush headaches. Good job Fred love the video. Ps keep those fingers away from that drill bit plzzzz lol
@Mrcaffinebean Contains citrus oil and high-pressure, fast acting environmentally safer gun cleaning solvents. Citrus oil is an effective oil and grease cutter used in hand cleaners and detergents. Only Powder Blast Gun Cleaner employs this active ingredient to break the bond of old oil, grease and gunpowder residue. Works immediately without disassembly and leaves gunmetal brilliantly clean and free of oil, grease, plastic streaking and gunpowder residues.
@URBANAMERICANTAC For one he already owned the uncoverted Saiga. Another, is you can find a Saiga 7.62 X 39 in the $300 range, and if you can do the work yourself, which isn't all that difficult, the conversion kits from carolina shooters range from $140-260, you'll save quite a bit of money doing the conversion yourself.
Hey Fred, I really enjoy your videos. There is a lot of variety. I initially subbed for the tech lol but have stayed around for all of the rest. I'm a complete noob when it comes to DC, so I have to ask, is there any prepping required of the surface i.e. degreasing or sanding to make the DC stick a little bit better?
this is my lucky day! First a reviewer at KBB channel finally pronounced Volkswagen correctly (after years of buzz in his ears), now Fred says Saiga a la Russian. Yaaaaay!!!
Fred, Fred, Fred, you should of watched my Duracoat basics vid LOL. First rule, where some gloves especially during the mixing process :-) Glad to see youre getting into Dcoat, its a blast.

why did you choose going the conversion route over just buying a already converted Arsenal?

@URBANAMERICANTAC Cost, it's that simple. Additionally, the satisfaction of doing it yourself making it personal. Great question my friend.

@plumberjoe80 It was dry in less then an hour.

@plumberjoe80 But before you use it has to cure for like I think 2 weeks.
