  • You called yourself an idiot when you shook paint out... I am glad you covered it because I was gonna say you make mistakes so 500 other people dont make them also. That is a good thing :)

  • Nice one Fred. The t shirt + the paint jar falling off = hilarious. Had to pause I was laughing that hard. Merry Christmas.

  • Thats what i like keeping it real thanks for sharing I want to durcoat my mossberg 500 and my saiga 762.39.did you buy a kit?and where? thanks happy holidays bud.

  • Only you can get away with wearing an Inspector Gadget T-shirt! Somehow it just FITS! Thanks for the vid!

  • Very Cool series

  • Is it bad if I lol'd a few times at your bad luck? :) Seriously, this serie is awesome, can't wait to see the final product.

  • cant wait to see the next installment video !! If your a member on forum-Saiga-12 (dot) com there is a discount code for CSS ;)

  • another great vid:-) I can't wait for you to finish it----

  • @thenowandaway Friday!!!

  • The bottle dropping was very funny....but you did a good job in the end and that's what counts ;)

  • @GTVi2003 Thank you so much my friend!

  • I converted my saiga 12 and just masked off the sides and painted the unpainted bottom area. I just used some flat black in a spray can i had layin around and it matched great, no lines either. Duracoating does a much better job tho. They do sell an entire with propellant. Which looks easier than the air brush headaches. Good job Fred love the video. Ps keep those fingers away from that drill bit plzzzz lol

  • @guns1war Thank you again!!! BTW, I did keep all my fingers :)

  • Love'in these vids Fred!!!!

  • @ammohead73 Thank you so much!!!

  • i unbent a coat hanger and hung the part from my track for my garage door worked great so I could focus on painting.

  • @glockster68 Great tip!!!

  • I thought powder blast had oil as well?

  • @Mrcaffinebean Contains citrus oil and high-pressure, fast acting environmentally safer gun cleaning solvents. Citrus oil is an effective oil and grease cutter used in hand cleaners and detergents. Only Powder Blast Gun Cleaner employs this active ingredient to break the bond of old oil, grease and gunpowder residue. Works immediately without disassembly and leaves gunmetal brilliantly clean and free of oil, grease, plastic streaking and gunpowder residues.

  • why did you choose going the conversion route over just buying a already converted Arsenal?

  • @URBANAMERICANTAC For one he already owned the uncoverted Saiga. Another, is you can find a Saiga 7.62 X 39 in the $300 range, and if you can do the work yourself, which isn't all that difficult, the conversion kits from carolina shooters range from $140-260, you'll save quite a bit of money doing the conversion yourself.

  • @URBANAMERICANTAC Cost, it's that simple. Additionally, the satisfaction of doing it yourself making it personal. Great question my friend.

  • Hey Fred, I really enjoy your videos. There is a lot of variety. I initially subbed for the tech lol but have stayed around for all of the rest. I'm a complete noob when it comes to DC, so I have to ask, is there any prepping required of the surface i.e. degreasing or sanding to make the DC stick a little bit better?

  • @jimcars You definitely need to degrease, I used Break-Free Powder Blast Gun Cleaner-Degreaser. Thank you so much for the very kind comment!!!

  • nutn would be proud!

  • @The1911Channel lol, Thank you soooooooo much Mike!!!!

  • Good job, best way to learn is to jump right in.

  • @biguy525 You are so right, it's the fastest way to gain experience through success or by learning from your mistakes.

  • That could have been your name as well... Inspector Gadget.

  • @TruthBeTold2K You are so right!

  • this is my lucky day! First a reviewer at KBB channel finally pronounced Volkswagen correctly (after years of buzz in his ears), now Fred says Saiga a la Russian. Yaaaaay!!!

  • @wwaalltthheerr Only after someone corrected me :)

  • Fred, Fred, Fred, you should of watched my Duracoat basics vid LOL. First rule, where some gloves especially during the mixing process :-) Glad to see youre getting into Dcoat, its a blast.

  • @TheTactical6string It sure was a blast! The paint came off my hands in a couple of days :)

  • Come on fred, You could have just gotten some Krylon camo from the hardware store :) Nice video!

  • @ArtisanTony lol, I just had to DuraCoat something once, it's part of being in the gun community.

  • @fredhart haha, now I have to try it! Thanks for the video!

  • Yay 3rd part. will you be making and more?

  • @CHIPxJHAD One more in this series is coming.

  • @fredhart. How long do you have to let the duracoat cure before you can finish the conversion?

  • @plumberjoe80 It was dry in less then an hour.

  • @plumberjoe80 But before you use it has to cure for like I think 2 weeks.
