  • great times! i wish i was among the marchers!

  • OCCUPY! We should watch films like this today to remind us how to be Stoic yet fiercely Strong against the Powers That Be.

  • @3chrds

because you can't belittle or criticize the beauty and power of a group of oppressed people being STRONGER, with Love, than their Oppressors, and say their movement is in the wrong. To deny the message of the movement (Or today's Occupy Movement) is to say you have no Moral Standing, no matter how much you think you're views are backed by "The Bible". You've gotten away from your Saviour's message of Love for each and all.

  • thanks for the upload.really good quality

  • this is awesome. black people are the coolest things ever.

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd and @SlyHobbit

all i gotta say is dat yall r pretty rascist

thnx for all the unrascist people commenting here...

    btw, im black bitches

  • thanks a ton, just the footage i needed for my school project

  • youtube comments make me laugh.

  • Obama killing us whites help!

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd Shutupp Y Yuh Even Watchiin Diis Whiite Crackerr No Offence 2 Whitess

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd Why do you even watch this if you're just going to make racial slurs? It's too bad that Dr MArtin Luther Kind Jr and Malcom X, and hell, even president John F Kennedy (that's right some white people have some sense in their brains) died in vain because you have just proven that racial prejudice is still around and thriving.

  • @mangagirllover and that my friend is the weapon our President will use to hush us someday!...its not the color...its the fact of certain peoples incompetence to do his job..

  • do i dare bring the subject of Obama into this comment section?

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd I cant believe I havn't seen somebody say you're racist before. Your so damn racist!

  • do I dare bring the subject of Obama into this comment section???...oh no all us white people are going to die all because african-americans "think" that all of us don't like him because of his color...its about the facts not the race!

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd Obama isn't any worse than any of the president's before him. Bush Jr started 2 wars, Bill Clinton...well, what was right with him?, and don't even get me started on "honest" Abe. we have never had a good president.

  • @mangagirllover fine by me....i just don't know what to believe anymore..

  • Yes, SlyHobbit, i have an idea. My idea is for folks like you to try to engage in the intelligence and patience it takes to learn some history... and in time, perhaps develop the necessary empathy and good sense to never make a comment like the one you made. Things aren't remotely close to being "flipped around", as you casually put it. When white folks get systematically kidnapped and subjected to hundreds of years of degradation and murder, that's when it's flipped around.

    Btw, i'm white...

  • Funny how things get flipped around. Now its us white folks that have to fear for our lives in Montgomery. Can't even go to the mailbox without a gun in your hand and the willingness to use it. I guess we need to "march" to Selma or something....ideas anyone?

  • oh! poor under privileged white people! let me start my tears going.

  • No, please don't. All of my guns are legal, registered, and I do enjoy live target practice from time to time. Its just that I would prefer my city be in peace, and my targets be something other than human. I dunno what else can be done, they've upped the minimum sentence for violent/drug related crimes, offered cash for illegal guns, started the "enough is enough program", and yet literally every single day in Montgomery there is a young black man shooting/robbing somebody.

  • Damn, that comment made me shiver.

Either you're trolling, undereducated, or mentally ill. Either way, get help or stop. Please.

  • hope you get robbed

  • Seems like so long ago. My mom, who had 3 young kids back in '65, flew down from Boston to join the march in Montgomery. She was even up front near Dr. King. We're teaching her granddaughter about all this now, American history from a bygone era, thanks for posting!

  • Selma is my hometown and i'm very proud to be from there!

  • Selma is my hometown as well. I am happy to be from there..

  • ooo really does cheyenne webb live there still

  • My cousins lives in Alabama. I allways wanted to live in the 60's for one day just to see what segregation was like.

  • hello edgar. we all love apush

  • this is stunning to see, in 2009, realizing that every person in that march in Selma was truly risking his or her life at that time - thanks for posting the film; it's inspiring
