  • Is buying Fans the comodification of people and was this what Facebook intended from the beginning. If you fan for money are you agreeing to a contract to remain a fan for a minimum period? can you be sued if you unfan too soon? Is there profit in buying a fan trying to make them unfan by getting angry or constantly spam their page with updates so you can sue them for contract breach.

  • I measure the success of a Tomato plant by it's size, shape and color but more important it's taste. I like the feel good part of eating a good Tomato and showing it off to friends. The important part is in the soil. But If neglected or not protected from the elements the plant will wither. Which is good for the compost pile and hopefully the lesson learned to start the process again!

  • Wow, I didn't know we are for sale. Where is our share of the money?:)

  • You are right Starbucks page is a real truimph, the Nestle one was flop but Starbucks really got it right. They asked the right quetions while Nestle did not They got out of the way and let the fans speak out. The blog Howard Schultz did only six months a just a blogger site not very good. Now it has millions.

  • Depends on a point you alluded too:

How long will these people be a fan?

BTW, love the driving to work videos.

  • @highlander2107 thanks, I am generally bored in my car driving to work so will try to keep doing them!

  • I agree with you regarding the importance social media are having for brands. However, even if I 'fan' brands on FaceBook, I barely interact with them or I just hide them on my feed. Does that mean that I'm not really part of the community or that what the brands have to say is not that interesting? I guess it's a bit of both. I love Haribo candies but I don't really give a damn if they release a new candy... I won't mention anything about Haribo, but does that mean that Haribo is not popular?
