@lolomg69aids And another voice from '94 thanks you all very deeply for doing what you did, suffering through and past what you were forced to go through, so all of us wouldn't have to. Every minute I sit in this room I get weaker and every minute charlie squats in the bush he gets stronger.Every time i looked around..the walls moved in a little bit closer..
@fearrock1 That goes for any of us really. We can all be just as great as he was, and at the same time be just as demented as some see him to be. We have to ability to become celestial beings of pure thought and consciousness, we are simply held on this plain of existence by our conceived notions of reality and the world that was fed to us by "the powers that be" and those around us who were influenced by the same. Reach out and touch the cosmos, just believe in you. This world is a dream...
@ShadowWarloc exactly i agree with you now lets all start writting poetry and songs and any other type of real and surreal art there is and share them with the world
The Doors are the greatest, people. They deserve to be listened to religiously. Their music was some of the most beautifully haunting and meaningful stuff ever created. But give modern music a chance. But there was just as much commercial crap being broadcast back then as today. The reason The Doors will be remembered is because they were so strange and brilliant. But do not shy away from modern music all together. I love Radiohead, Muse, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Rage Against the Machine!
if i hear one more fucking youtube comment about how "omg y dnt people listen to this music anymore omg omg justin biebers so gay" il go fucking nuts. WHO FUCKING CARES? YOU listen to this music so YOU can enjoy it. you don't need to convert everyone to join you're fucking cult. and it's not even spawned from a compassionate desire to have the world share in beautiful music, all it is is you feeling you're better than someone else 'cause of you're music tastes. Well the reason why it is sad, is because most of the people from my generation listen to crap that has no feeling or meaning. All it is comprised of is bass, bass, bass, some screaming, and more bass. They also don't even understand what real music is. I know everywhere I turn I see more generic music being produced in droves while good artists are struggling to get known. If you want proof listen to Disturbed's new album. It is done with some caring well thought out work. So is Metallica's new album. Then you have Guns N' Roses new album which sounds like a bunch of rehashed recycled samples from the old days being shoved down our throats like its the best thing on the planet when in fact it isn't.
@gothicevil1313 Don't forget that this song was controversial when it first came out.
