We need apologetics in the U.S. specifically because illiteracy is rising among morons and we need $12 dollar books that read slow and easy. You can't throw Hemingway or Faulkner at the average American and expect them to recognize complex symbolism, you need books heavy on one-sided interviews and simple metaphors.

Apologetics are for inteligent people to take notice how much of an irrefutable bullshit the bible is even tho you guys try your best. I enjoyed this video and agree with just about everything Matt Slick says. However, I did not like the way he phrased reaching out to those distant from Christ - we are not called to "shut their mouths." Slick quoted 1 Peter 3:15, but should have finished the verse in reading: "But do so with gentleness and respect." God calls us to boldly evangelize, but this doesn't mean we should ignore other's opinions. Our number one priority should be to convey love to our brothers in sisters in Christ.

I feel that many apologists are deluded but having seen more of your work I get the impression you are simply dishonest.

@duffry Your comment is both irrational; and to end it with a personal attack reveals your inability to dialogue out of reason and logic. How could the apologist argue if the mouths of "people" were shut, since he has to know the opposite/alternate view. The walls you mention are built up by faulty logic and bad reasoning.
