Ya know, the Phillies were the team that beat Atlanta to let St. Louis into the postseason. Just saying. I just hope the Cardinals fans would realize that and stop giving me bullshit. I am still waiting for a 'Thank You Phillies'.
Joe Buck could possibly be the worst commentator of all time. I dont see how he keeps his job. He just witnessed one of the greatest world series finishes of all time and he sounded as excited as a person recieving an ennama.
Are the Texas Rangers becoming the New Atlanta Braves of MLB?
The Atlanta Braves appeared in 5 World Series 1991,1992,1995,1996,and 1999 only to win 1 of them in that period span. Not counting the Braves failing to win the National League playoffs in 1993,1997,1998,2000,2001,2002..Etc.
The Texas Rangers failed to win the American League Playoffs in 1996,1998,and 1999.
Thank you Phillies for helping the Cardinals in the postseason. Thank you Brewers for falling apart. Thank you Rangers for the epic Game 6 of the 2011 World Series. Now for Game 7!
To keep going back to the Grand Daddy of them all in MLB again especially with 2 out and 1 strike away twice to win it is the worst feeling for both the team and it's fans they will ever remember for not only years, but also for decades to come.
Rangers lose tomorrow they will be the first MLB team to lose the World Series in back to back years of appearance since the Atlanta Braves in 1991 and 1992. The World Series loss this year though should hurt a lot worse than last year.
Being a Giants fan, I know what the Rangers are going through from our collapse in 2002 vs. the Angels. It was a different story then though. We had a 5-0 lead with 1 out in the 7th. The Rangers battled back themselves with Hamiliton's 2-Run jack, but three clutch hits like that by the Cardinals tells me that the Rangers have to score early tomorrow night to have any chance. Prediction: Cardinals win 5-3 in Game 7.
how come nobody brings up the fact that the right fielder blew the god damn game that ball was so catchable, he was scared of a padded wall bottom line, catch that and thats all she wrote
@bassisblissfull Because American League Teams have much more of a history of blowing World Series leads in National League Ballparks when they go to Game 6 and Game 7
And so the American Teams Records are still instact for 37 years in the World Series when the National League Team have Homefield Advantage,American League Team have won the World Series only 4 Times since 1975.
@ice2064 O MY FRIEND ITS GANNA BE A CRAZY NIGHT IN STL BEFORE DURING AND AFTER THIS GAME SEVEN. AFTER TOMO NIGHT I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. @trustinstinct You know Youtube stops updating the "view count" if there's too many views in a given period, especially when a video is first posted. There's probably been thousands of views.
so pissed i missed this game. this is beyond epic. been rootin for the cards this whole time. they have this championship tonight. im hoping for even more excitement, although this sets the bar so damn high
@johnvf5 O MY FRIEND! U MISSED WHAT I WISH I COULD HAVE IN MY CARDS COFFIN AFTER DEATH. IT WAS THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER SEEN IN 23 YEARS OF BEING ON EARTH. I was driving with my husband tonight and we were just about jumping out of our seats. I have never experienced a baseball game like this before!!! It was AWESOME.
We were literally 1 strike away from defeat in the 9th inning and then the 10th inning. One of the best comebacks ever. If we win tomorrow we will be known as the comeback cardinals!
At least Boston Red Sox fans can say their World Series choke in Game 6 is not the worst fielding played and bullpen collapse. One guy only mess it up for the Boston Red Sox while multiple players and bullpen pitchers messed it up for the Texas Rangers.
@BBQFanNo1 shutup, it's people like you that make Billy Buckner a villain. He was a great player and you're too ignorant to know otherwise because you've seen the play on ESPN a few times. Fanboyfag
@MrRidge7 Buckner is a very good player. Actually people made a big deal over one rare bad mistake he made at the wrong time in career. You are getting the context of my comment wrong.
I mean the Rangers had a 2 run lead twice. In fact a 3 run lead with only less than a handful of outs to clinch the World Series Championship. Talk about an epic choke in historical proportions.
I don't think I have ever seen a team twice in a single World Series clinching game have a 1-2 pitch count balls-strike with 2 out twice only to blow the leads twice eventually losing the game in 34 years of watching every World Series being played since 1977.
I think one of two more trips to the World Series and losing them again will make the Texas Rangers the Buffalo Bills of MLB. Right now they are on pace to equal the 1991 and 1992 Atlanta Braves.
BBQFanNo1 I KNOW RIGHT! HE MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TWIN TOWERS FALLING BUT NOT THE CARDINALS! NO DISRESPECT TO THOSE WHO LOST A LOVED ONE, EVEN IF U DID KNOW THAT U HAVE BEEN "FOOLED"
XD Rangers, Rangers, Rangers......tsktsktsk I can't believe how it ended like that, so many leads, even leads by more than 3! lol That Right Outfielder has to be crying, and i would let the Ranger's Coach have some serious "me" time :O I think this made World Series History in some way:)
Bill Buckner the goat of the Red Sox in Game 6 World Series 1986. Tony Fernandez the goat of the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 World Series 1997. Mariano Rivera & Alfonso Soriano the goats of the New York Yankees in Game 7 World Series 2001. Who will be the goat or goats of the Texas Rangers in Game 6 World Series 2011 if they lose it?
Wow, did another Texas Sport Team's Hope Ever Get Their Stomach's Punch In Again. Alabama destroys Texas in the National Championship Game. Buffalo Bills Comeback And Beat The Houston Oilers In AFC Playoff Game Down 35-3.
World Series well known for American League Teams blowing them with just a few outs left:1986 Boston Red Sox,1997 Cleveland Indians, and 2001 New York Yankees. The 2011 Texas Rangers are on their way to joining that horroble list in World Series history
American League Teams have a long continued history habit of losing the World Series when going Games 6 and Games 7 in National League Ballparks.
